As snapshots are costly to compute, we now create exactly two snapshots:
one initial snapshot and one final snapshot. All intermediate checks
are done with respect to the initial snapshot.
Note also that checks are costly for x2many fields. Therefore, once a
field has changed, it will never be checked again. This optimization is
correct since, by contract, the onchanges of a field are processed at
most once. This guarantees the absence of cycles in onchange.
For instance, assume that field A modifies fields B and C, and that
field C modifies fields D, E and F:
- before: 7 snapshots (snapshot, process A, snapshot, process B,
snapshot, process C, snapshot, process D, snapshot, process E,
snapshot, process F, snapshot)
- after: 2 snapshots (snapshot, process A, process B, process C,
process D, process E, process F, snapshot)

Traceback generated when trying to pass a datetime object into a function tag
in xml.
<function name="action_name" model="model_name" eval="datetime.date.today"/>
Used to fail.
With this commit now one can pass time, datetime, timedelta, relativedelta,
version, ref, pytz in function tag in xml

When an exception is raised during the course of a normal SMTP session,
smtplib's `sendmail()` method will close the channel automatically,
so any further attempt at sending SMTP commands will fail with an
SMTPServerDisconnected error, even just calling `smtp.quit()`.
This will shadow the original error, and make debugging harder.
Fixes#1493
The "from" of an email is expected to follow the regex
"name <address>(, name <address>)*".
We simply split the from on the commas "," and try to interpret each piece as a
(name, address) pair.
If a "from" contains a name that is not quoted, and contains special characters
before the comma, then we would try to encode that name into an email address,
and fail on a UnicodeEncodeError.
E.g. the following "🐧, <a@a.com>" would be parsed as [('', '🐧'),('', 'a@a.com')]
thus Odoo would crash on trying to use 🐧 as email address.
With this commit we would just mess up the name in these situations,
by ignoring failures.

- Set a product barcode to a 8 letters value, e.g. 'AAAAAAAA'
- Print 'Product Barcode (PDF)' (or any other report containing the
barcode)
The barcode doesn't print.
All templates assume that:
- a 13 characters barcode is EAN13
- a 8 characters barcode is EAN8
But this assumption is too restrictive: one could want to generate
barcodes with such length without following the EAN13 or EAN8 structure.
We fall back on Code128 when the barcode generation fails.

This commit is a followup to #25854
If a custom relational field is in a view and the field it references is
in another module and this module is uninstalled, the registry will
crash.
This is not because the ORM doesn't properly cascade-delete the field,
it tries to, but since the field is in a not-to-be-deleted view, the
unlinking of the field is interrupted and an error is raised to prevent
the breakage of the view.
However, module install/upgrade/uninstall cannot be stopped by such
errors and once the registry is reloaded, it crashes because it cannot
find the referenced field.
The solution, while not ideal, is to force the deletion of the field if
we're in uninstall mode... This means that the view in question will be
broken until the field is manually removed from the view, but a broken
view can be dealt with more easily than a broken registry.

For existing installations, creating indices might not always be
possible, e.g. if you have a Text/Char field that has an index=True
set on it in a field override and pre-existing rows longer than
the pg supported size , the index creation will fail.
Instead of failing miserably during the schema modification, simply
log the problem instead and keep going.

contains values longer than 8192 bytes (PostgreSQL limit for BTrees).

Before this patch, the ir.logging's write_uid field was a many2one which
could cause a module install/update to hang when the module is changing
the res.users model schema and when this module causes to orm to warn
through the logger. (eg: declaring two res.users fields with the same
string attribute)
In such situation the transaction cursor that is processing the
res_users table alteration will be granted an exclusive postgresql lock
hence causing the ir_logging insertion to block because of the write_uid
foreign key to res_users.
This issue has never been raised by runbot as it is using a remote
database with --log-db
Note: the write_uid conversion from m2o to int was left over in commit e6a5d82closesodoo/odoo#32015

Add the alternative of inotify instead of watchdog to watch the addons
paths the server was started with.
Reason: watchdog spawns 2 threads per path to watch. When there are a
lot of addons paths, this can become too costly. With inotify we watch
all the repositories in a single thread.
https://github.com/dsoprea/PyInotify
installation:
pip install inotify
We set the default rate to be 1.0 instead of 0.0, since a rate of 0.0
doesn't make sense.

This is related to issue #31549, fixing it in 10 since it's already a
minor issue here (importing 500 partners which all have the same parent,
on my system the import time goes from 2:30 to 2:00).
This is mostly a problem for such fields as `property_product_pricelist`
(added do the commercial fields list by `product`): since we're first
getting it then writing a field it depends on (updating the address,
which contains the country), the field gets invalidated for all records
on each record being imported, so if we're importing a bunch of partners
which all have the same parent (e.g. company employees)
`property_product_pricelist` is going to be re-computed for every
partner imported so far as well as the one parent we're interested in,
for every new partner we're creating.
The problem is much more prevalent with 12.0's batched creates as we're
first creating all the new partners then doing the updates, and thus for
each new partner we're computing `property_product_pricelist` for all
new partners and the one parent we're interested in, roughly doubling
the import time of a series of partners which all have the same parent.

Werkzeug version was being checked to avoid passing quote=True to
werkzeug.utils.escape (as that parameter was changed to `True` *and
deprecated* in 0.9).
However because DeprecationWarning was made silent by default in
Python 3.2 and the way the check is implemented worked for 0.9 it
looks like nobody really noticed it's broken in the usual manner of
half-assed version checks: works for 0.9.0, doesn't work for
0.12.3 (because lexically 0.12.3 < 0.9.0).
Fix by using proper version parsing and comparing the result of that.

Before this commit, doing expression.OR() with only FALSE_LEAF would
yield [] which is equivalent to TRUE_LEAF and is therefore not correct.
The same happened (to a lesser extent) with expression.AND() within an
expression.OR(), since the former would return a [] which would be
ignored by expression.OR().
See tests for a clearer view of the use cases.
