Although in the documentation these fields on the product are referred to as 'HS Codes' (codes belonging to the Harmonised System), they are not HS Codes and share nothing with HS codes excepting the length/format. Apparently the folks at the KRA have been referring to these internally as 'Item Codes'. The fiscal device itself has a list of around 260 of these item codes preloaded, and if the data sent contains an 'Item Code' not present in this preloaded list, then the device will throw a 'Zero Input Registers' error. By representing this field as an HS code field, we misguide the clients, who will enter the wrong value and get this error.
