The EcmaScript version was recently raised (see commit odoo/odoo@7423e20) to ES9/ES2018. Sadly this specification is not fully supported by all ever-green browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari...). This commit rollback to ES8/ES2017 because MS Edge doesn't support the "Spread in destructuring" operator (e.g. used for the creation of a new object). In a nutshell this version is equivalent to es2016 + async/await.
