This happended because when reloading the chatter, the chatter changed position and its identity changes (i.e it's no longer the same chatter). The old chatter was removed, therefore it's invalid to access relation on removed records, e.g. with `chatter.webRecord`. The underlying problem was that chatter should stay the same, even with reposition. The chatter was not properly passed between aside to bottom position.
