Benoit Socias 4978d2d107 [IMP] *: allow empty frontend m2o and deselection in the editor
*: base, web_editor

The Many2oneUserValueWidget does not allow the user to reset it
to blank if it already contains a selection. This commit makes it
possible to select an empty value by specifying a `null_text` option.

Jay Savaliya be32787832 [FIX] base: partner creation from name
In https://github.com/odoo/odoo/commit/6371565e6933d6ede88fa85992f4acbc2cb5327b we expect required fields to throw ValidationError when not set,
we thus correct res_partner to raise that error when the email is implicitly
required, so after this commit if we can try to create a new partner from the
name directly then It will give a validation error and wizard will open for the
creation of a new partner.

qsm-odoo 1b428bd0b0 [FIX] web, base: review lazy loaded <script> definitions
The assets bundle system allows to generate `<script>` elements whose
resource is meant to be lazy loaded. In that case, a "data-src" is used
instead of "src" directly as attribute. This is valid HTML code: "src"
is not required. However... this lazy loading system also automatically
added `defer="defer"` which makes the "src" attribute required, thus
failing W3C validation.

Now, we only add "data-src" and the `defer="defer"` part is added on the
client-side, once the "data-src" is switched to "src". Note that this
"defer" attribute may not be needed in this case at all, but it cannot
hurt.

Nicolas Lempereur ec0381ddd3 [FIX] base: invisible groups default on user creation
Since 16.0's 0501bbd62e fields with groups are now removed from the view
instead of being set as invisible.

Scenario:

- template user has group "Access to export feature"
- create a new user while being in debug=0 mode
- save

=> the users don't have the group "Access to export feature" set,
because the corresponding field is not in the view. If the same scenario
was done in debug=1 mode, we would get the group set.

Solution: duplicate the field that are inside base.group_no_one section
and have them be invisible if someone is not in debug mode.

note: before the fix, added assert fails because there is missing groups
in the newly created user.

Xavier-Do a6f8de2cf2 [IMP] base: speedup routing map
When generating the routing map, `Rule.add` will call
`Rule._compile_builder` twice, representing almost one third of the
routing map generation time. `_compile_builder` is actually stored
in `Rule._build` and `Rule._build_unknown` for latter use, in the
`Rule.build` method.

The `Rule.build` method is used to transform a rule, lets say
`/forum/<model("forum.forum"):forum>` in `/forum/basics-of-gardening-2`

Even if a deeper investigation could be interresting, it looks like it
is only used for `is_frontend_multilang` routes and `_enumerate_pages`,
used in the `sitemap` and `search_pages`.

The proposed solution si to make this part lazy, in order to call
_compile_builder on demand, once per rule. This will speedup the initial
routing map generation and postpone the heavy work when we need it,
only for the part we need most of the time.

On a database with all modules installed, generation of the routing map:
Before: ~600 ms
After: ~200 ms

An alternative implementation was also overriding the Rule.build method
instead of having a callable LazyCompiledBuilder, this implementation
was choosen since it is less dependant off the werkzeug implementation.

pedrambiria 70648b064d [FIX] base: add commercial_company_name to the depends
Before this commit: if you add a custom one2many field to the
'res.partner', like x_related_commercial_partner_ids, that is related to the
`commercial_partner_id` in the`res.partner` model, it won't update the
display name of a contact in case of changing its parent_id name.

Here are the steps to reproduce the problem:
 1. Create a new custom field with these values:
   a. Field Type = one2many
   b. Model = Contact
   c. Related Model = res.partner
   d. Relation Field = commercial_partner_id
 2. Create a new Contact that is the "Company" (e.g. "My Company")
 3. Create a new Contact that is the "Individual" (e.g. "My Name"), and
put the "My Company" as its parent_id.
 4. Now the display_name is "My Company, My Name" which is correct
 5. Change the company name to "My new Company"
-> display_name won't change, and is "My Company, My Name"

The solution is to add the 'commercial_company_name' to the
`display_name` depends.

Xavier-Do ab1e4f670a [REF] web_editor: change custom url
Before this commit an ir_assets generated automaticaly by the web editor
will generate an url ending with ...custom.addon.bundle_name.ext

After this commit the url will start with /_custom/addon.bundle_name/...

This will make it easier to spot at immediately if it is a custom asset
and thus it is useless to apply the glob. Actually, it will fail on the
/_custom when trying to glob, making it faster.

This is mainly useful to clarify and debug but in a case with mainly
customised ir_asset for one bundle, it may have an impact on speed.

An upgrade script was created for this change.

Julien CastiauxandRaphaël Collet 5a998694a6 [IMP] core: merge subqueries WHERE clauses
Rationale
---------

Given the following domain:

    ['|',
        ('company_id.name', 'like', 'BE'),
        ('company_id.city', 'like', 'Brussels')]

The ORM would generate the following SQL query:

    SELECT "res_partner"."id"
    FROM "res_partner"
    WHERE "res_partner"."company_id" IN (
        SELECT "res_company"."id"
        FROM "res_company"
        WHERE "res_company"."name" like 'BE'
    ) OR "res_partner"."company_id" IN (
        SELECT "res_company"."id"
        FROM "res_company"
        WHERE "res_company"."email" like 'help@odoo.com'
    );

Which is sub-optiomal as the WHERE clause of the two subqueries could be
regrouped inside of a single query like so:

    SELECT "res_partner"."id"
    FROM "res_partner"
    WHERE "res_partner"."company_id" IN (
        SELECT "res_company"."id"
        FROM "res_company" WHERE (
            "res_company"."name" like 'BE'
            OR "res_company"."email" like 'help@odoo.com'
        )
    );

Postgres-wise, it is faster to execute the latter query than the former
one. This commit is about optimizing the ORM so that it generates
queries where the WHERE clause of compatible subqueries are grouped
together.

Technical solution
------------------

The solution explored by this work is to replace the regular relational
field accesses (over a dotted path) by a new `any` operator that look as
follow:

    (relational_field, 'any', domain)

For instance, the above `('company_id.name', 'like', 'BE')` leaf becomes
`('company_id', 'any', [('name', 'like', 'BE')]` using `any`.

Having a domain as right-hand-side allow for the combination of the
domains of same compatible relations:

    [('company_id', 'any', ['|',
        ('name', 'like', 'BE'),
        ('city', 'like', 'Brussels')])

Having combined domains allows for generating better SQL queries with
minimal changes to the expression parsing algorithm, which can only
translate a single leaf at a time to SQL. With the new `any` operator,
it is still a single leaf but the right-hand-side contains the merged
domain, thus the combined SQL WHERE clause is immediately generated.

Denis Ledoux aee3af0abe [FIX] core: access to ir.attachment without res_model/res_id
This revision restores the behavior of 16.0 regarding
the access to attachments with no `res_model`/`res_id`
set.

It was changed unexpectedly during the refactoring
of `read`/`fetch`.

Basically, the below used to raise an AccessError in 16.0:

Create an attachment without res_model/res_id and access it
as another user
```py
attachment = self.env['ir.attachment'].create({'name': 'foo'})
attachment.invalidate_recordset()
attachment.with_user(self.env.ref('base.user_demo')).datas
```

While it no longer raises the AccessError in saas-16.2

The reason is that the override of `_read` calling
`check` has been removed in saas-16.2:
https://github.com/odoo/odoo/commit/e962860c6f0d8ec9e50bb376e1faab5c7bc69374#diff-ab3dadc37163820f8e863edb1dd216f8b0e7ccf19cf4e2052577a7bae7ddd7e8L606-L608

in favor to do the check in `_search`:

https://github.com/odoo/odoo/commit/ae31aebf095392d8c91f49ac279e1949997dc245

But there is a difference of behavior between the checks in `check` and `_search`
regarding attachments without `res_model`/`res_id`:

https://github.com/odoo/odoo-security/blob/bc538f6944461a642bac0f757ec96d7f8cc14c9a/odoo/addons/base/models/ir_attachment.py#L454-L465

https://github.com/odoo/odoo-security/blob/bc538f6944461a642bac0f757ec96d7f8cc14c9a/odoo/addons/base/models/ir_attachment.py#L566-L573

The goal of this revision is to have an unified behavior regarding the treatment
of attachments without `res_model`/`res_id` in both `check` and `_search`.

Renaud Thiry 87b0189ff1 [IMP] mail: remove default logo
Many templates use the company logo that is set by default on
database creation. As that logo is clearly a placeholder and the user
isn't necesserely prompted to update it. It's possible for a user to
inadvertently start sending emails with "your logo" placeholders
plastered all over.

This removes the default logo of the company and removes it from
templates conditionally.

The logo isn't simply replaced with a transparent PNG as the templates
set a fixed height for the logo, which would look weird.

Xavier Morel c7826675a8 [FIX] base: restore deletion of dependencies on field removal
odoo/odoo#111651 improved and optimised triggers but dropped the
in-place cleanup of field dependencies. As a consequence, during
module uninstallation if a stored computed field is removed (because
it's part of a module being uninstalled), and one of its dependencies
is subsequently altered (e.g. it's itself removed, or written to) the
second update will break as the query trying to find out which
dependent records to update will error, either because of trying to
select / filter on a missing column, or because of trying to fetch
in a missing table.

The simplest examples of this issue are computed fields with a
dependency on `ir.model`:

- In `calendar`, `calendar.event.res_model` is a related on
`res_model_id.model`, this prevents the removal of *any* `ir.model`
  record if it gets uninstalled.

As a result the `calendar.attendee` and `calendar.event` tables
don't get removed (just emptied of all their non-automatic fields),
their records remain as well, and when the non-automatic fields get
re-added during installation re-instating the NOT NULL constraints
  fails, breaking the uninstall/reinstall test.

- In `payment`, `payment.provider.module_state` is a related on
`module_id.state`, this breaks *during* uninstallation, as after
  `module_uninstall` first calls `_module_data_uninstall` which
removes the field, then it *updates the modules being uninstalled*
(sets their state), which tries to find out which
`payment.provider`'s `module_state` is should update, which breaks
because the `module_id` column has been removed.

This second one was worked around in odoo/odoo#118900, by marking
modules as uninstalled before actually gutting them, but as it turns
out the "actual" fix is needed anyway. So revert the workaround, and
  actually fix the issue.

Xavier Morel 98b5505305 [FIX] base: mark modules as uninstalled before gutting them
Before this, uninstalling the `payment` module (or any of its
dependencies) is broken: as payment.provider has a dependency on
ir.module.module.state, marking the modules causes a lookup of the
payment provides to update, but the table was removed by
`_module_data_uninstall`, so the lookup blows up.

This is a consequence of odoo/odoo#111651 which improved and optimised
triggers but dropped the in-place cleanup of the triggers tree.

Thus while the columns & tables get removed from the database the
in-memory structures (registry, models, fields, ..., as well as the
trigger and dependency caches) are not so the python side will happily
try to look up stuff which has been nuked if accessed at the wrong
moment (which is any moment between the start of
`_module_data_uninstall` and the creation of a new registry, really).

As `_module_data_uninstall` is nothing but a giant pile of dodgy state
anyway, making modules as uninstalled before it executes doesn't seem
like a huge deal. It may cause unnecessary extra recomputation for the
few models which depend on modules, but that doesn't seem like a major
issue, at worst it makes uninstallation a touch slower but they're not
a huge performance concern at the moment (they're more of a
correctness one).

- the hook is also called on `_auto = False` which don't have a table
anymore, this is because we use `DROP TABLE $table CASCADE`, which
implicitly drops any view (or table) depending on the table, it
might be possible to avoid this by ensuring we drop models in
reverse topological order *and* drop all of a module's views then
tables at once (by passing multiple names to `DROP`, but for now
just ignore the case where we're trying to drop an object which
  can't be found

Rahul Prajapati 10620c0caf [FIX] base: fix validation for co-model field in ir_field view
The co-model field in `IrField` view is accepting Related Model name
even if it is invalid. And replaces the invalid model name with `_unknown`.
This causes KeyError `display_name` when trying to create or read a record.

To fix that we are adding Validations for the Related Model field when it gets
updated from UI side.

Xavier Morel 8932d447aa [FIX] core: table_kind semantics (incorrect classification of toast as temp)
17c4f47b0a updated table_kind to return
`pg_class.relkind`, however the semantics are *not* the same, and that
was ignored: `relkind = t` is for *toast* tables, not *temporary*
tables. In `pg_class` the temporary-ness is instead signaled by
`relpersistence` (which applies to both tables and sequences), temp
(and unlogged) tables have `relkind = r`. `existing_tables` does that
correctly, possibly unwittingly.

While at it, upgrade `table_kind` to return an `enum` (whose value is
the old discriminant).

Géry Debongnie 44052d58d7 [FIX] web, base: do not display js module errors in some cases
Since saas 16.1, we added a more visible error information box when the
module system cannot find some dependencies, or if there is an error in
the JS code. This error box is very useful to understand a lot of
typical devlopment issues. However, it was occasionally displayed in
production code.

However, we sometimes observe that the error information box was
displayed, because the request to load an assets failed with a 404.

It is unclear in which circumstance this can happen, but it seems that
the following elements are involved:

- the user has an open tab with odoo, kept open for a while
- some js code is changed on the server, which causes the previous
assets to be deleted
- the user reload its open tabs, so the browser will load the /web page
from disk, which points to the old assets files
- then it will try to load all assets, with a 404 on one of the script
- the error information box is displayed

This commit intercepts the loading error and stop displaying the error
information box, which is basically the same behaviour as 16.0 and
before. We could force a reload in that case, but it seems dangerous,
since in case of errors, it could easily lead to an infinite loop.

Julien Castiaux ca5ca24bc6 [FIX] core: check browser lang is installed
A visitor could visit a web page having a lang in its context that is
not installed in the databased he is connected to. The problem is that
visitors are not logged-in thus it is not possible to determine their
lang via their `res.users` preferences. The lang used instead is the
lang set in the `Accept-Language` header of the incoming request, that
header is set by various browsers in accordance to the user system
preferences or browser settings.

The browser lang (`Request.best`) is only parsed according to the
`babel` database, it is a lang syntactically speaking but not necessary
a lang that is installed in the database.

At the moment the browser lang is set in the context (inside of
`Request._get_dbname_and_session`), it is not possible to verify it is
installed in the database as no connection to any database as been
established yet. Instead the lang is validated inside of
`ir.http._pre_dispatch` which is the method responsible to prepare/fix
various stuff on the request/session/context.

In regard to 93b684d3c7, we prefer to fallback on English, hence the
modification in `get_lang`.

is_transpiled is only needed when generating a asset bundle while
JavascriptAsset can be generated to compute the version hash.

is_transpiled needs to read the content to be defined which is quite
slow. Transforming is_transpiled into a lazy property will speedup the
cold loading of generate_assets_node, especially when attachment already
exists.

Locally:
- /web with all modules in debug=assets goes from ~350 to ~150 ms
- generate_assets_nodes part goes from ~230 to ~55 ms

Goffin Simonandkmagusiak <> 0248e490f6 [FIX] base: Commercial fields not syncing after changing parent_id
Steps to reproduce the bug:

Here are aliases for the used contacts:
- A: Azure Interior
- B: Gemini Furniture
- C: Gemini Furniture, Edwin Hansen
- D: (delivery address for Edwin Hansen)

1. Login on a runbot.
2. Set VAT of A and B to different values.
3. Open C, and create a delivery address: D
4. Check: VAT of D = VAT of B
5. Change the related company of C from B to A.

Bug:

The VAT of C = VAT of A, however VAT of D did not change.

When syncing the commercial fields of a partner, we also sync his childs.

PS: Due to function _compute_commercial_partner, the commercial partner is always updated for
all the childs.

So the condition child.commercial_partner_id != self.commercial_partner_id
is never satisfied in function _children_sync and the commercial fields were
never updated.

std-odoo a9b9b8cbfd [FIX] base: fix the email used to test the SMTP configuration
Bug
===
When the from_filter of an outgoing mail server contains a domain
(e.g. company.com), and when the system parameter "mail.default.from"
is a full email address, with a different domain name
(e.g. notification@example.com) we concatenate both value which produce
an invalid email (e.g. notification@example.com@company.com).

Instead, we always give the priority to the from_filter, and fallback
on "noreply" for the local part when needed.

In mail, changing the setting "Restrict mail templates edition and
QWEB placeholders usage" to false should remove all users but admins
from the group, including the template user.
Before this commit, you could have weird behaviou such as

1. Disable the restrictiong (group_mail_template_editor in

2. Install mass_mailing (group_mail_template_editor in
   group_mass_mailing_user.implied_ids)
3. Create a user test with minimum employee roles (still has
   group_mail_template_editor as employee)
4. Check the box "Restrict mail templates edition and QWEB
   placeholders usage"

-> test still has the template group nothing implied it

The issue was a combinaison of recomputation of implied groups
https://github.com/odoo/odoo/blob/b2f760cae74201d1622e56a0027dae67dcff9e33/odoo/addons/base/models/res_users.py#L1292-L1295

This commit aims at preventing the deactivation of a company currency.
Was the issue on 2852452 support ticket (v14). But it seems appropriate to merge it in 13.0 as it is probably a good idea that a company currency always stays active.

How to reproduce bug:
In 13.0:
Install accounting with demo data > activate multi currency in settings > deactivate usd > create new invoice > select eur currency > cannot set usd currency back on invoice

Reconcile JS traceback in 14.0:
Install accounting with demo data > activate multi currency in settings > deactivate usd > go to accounting dashboard > click on reconcile 7 items on Bank journal > click on any “customer/vendor matching” line.

Yannick Tivisse d8c9c8d10b [FIX] base: Handle portal user deletion separately
Purpose
=======

Improve the portal user deletion by preventing timeouts and
avoiding several rollbacks causes.

Specifications
==============

- Move the portal users deletions from autovacuum to its own cron.
On big databases such as odoo.com, deleting a res.users takes
more than 1 minute. Move the whole process into its own scheduled
  tasks.
- Commit the deletion at each user. As said previously the deletion
can be expensive, so commit what has been done to avoid having to
delete the same user again in case of rollbacks or timeout.
- Delete the user and the partner separately. If the partner is used
in a sales order for instance, the unlink is possible for the user
and not the parner. It allows to unlink the user and keep the
partner in case it cannot be deleted.
- Re-call the cron into another transaction in case there are too many
users to delete, instead of waiting next call, that is supposed
  to occur the day after.
