Purpose of this commit is to clearly check input of ``message_post`` method
and its main helpers in order to prevent wrong usage of message post API.
Some values used to populate message fields should not be set directly when
posting or logging messages. Indeed they may be part of other process (like
notification process managed by ``_notify_thread``, or could be setup by
custom routes like 'reaction_ids', or custom usage of 'model' and 'res_id'
that could conflicts with record on which methods are called).
We therefore add checks and cleanup in those methods to be sure the API
is used as intended and avoid unwanted side effects.

RATIONALE
Purpose of this commit is to be explicit in subtype chosen when invoking the
message composer / calling message_post. As default value may not always be
clear, better be explicit in case the composer default value changes.
SPECIFICATIONS
Add explicit references to subtype when it is not obvious what will be the
final subtype, notably when using helpers (post_with_view or template which
uses the composer that is not crystal clear in its subtype management).
In this commit we also add support of XMLID-based subtype when invoking the
composer. A ``default_subtype_xmlid`` context key is transformed into a
``default_subtype_id``, to be used notably in JS where we cannot easily
use a ``ref``-like statement. Post API now also supports 'subytpe_xmlid'
argument allowing to give the xml id and ease calling the methods.
Use ``_xmlid_to_res_id`` to get directly the ID of subtypes in order to
avoid useless queries from ``ref`` that does an exists.
Also remove useless values given to post API, notably author_id that is by
default the current users' partner.

All emails sent from the chatter start with "Re:" followed
by the name of the record. The name of the record alone is sometimes not enough for
the followers to understand what the mail is about.
Additionally, "Re:" does not make sense when starting a conversation.
This commit gives better default subject
for event registrations and allows thread models
to override the default subject of messages.
This also removes "Re:" from default mail subjects.

Some mail clients set a wrong content-type for PDF attachments, they
set `binary/octet-stream` which doesn't exist[^1]. Odoo would crash
with a traceback in case it tried to extract the content of such
malformed attachment because Python doesn't know how to decode such
content-types.
Looking at the actual content of the emails we received, we would had
expected the content-type to be `application/octet-stream` instead. It
is fair to assume that the mail client software is buggy or poorly
configured and that it assumes that `application/octet-stream` and
`binary/octet-stream` represent the same thing.
Following Postel's Law[^2], it is better to still handle those malformed
emails, assuming the content-type is `application/octet-stream`.

Warn user and alias responsible when model creation fails on incoming
message due to alias mis-configuration.
Alias custom default values that references archived or deleted records can
prevent the record to be created when receiving an email.
Unfortunately, correcting values on the fly has too many downsides:
- as the value cannot come from nowhere, we would probably end up with
corrupted record like a task without a project
- as errors are silent, lots of suboptimal record could be created before it
is corrected
- as the code would have to deal with different kind of updates, it would be
heavily depend on the framework meaning additional maintenance cost
- the attempt made had also a performance cost by using savepoint which we
want to avoid
For all those reasons, we have decided to warm the user rather than trying to
solve the problem automatically.
The users are warned:
- through a bounce email sent to the sender and alias responsible
- in the alias interface through an alias status present in the list and the
form view
Technical notes:
- They are multiple kind of errors: error in the message (ex.: user not
authorized to send to a specific alias), error in the alias (ex.: dangling
reference in alias_defaults), other error (ex: technical error like a
service unavailable when receiving the message). Here, we want only to detect
alias error and skip other errors. So rather than doing a big try except around
_message_route_process, we have selected the spot where we should detect alias
error:
-- in _alias_get_error_message where we distinct a message error from an alias
error
-- in inside _message_route_process where record are created using
alias_defaults (custom values with reference to record that might have been
deleted since the alias creation)
- In test, we call mail.thread message_process with sudo as it is the case in
real use case (processed when fetching mail). It is needed as in some test
alias status are modified.

PURPOSE
Purpose of this task is to cleanup attachment management done in generic mail
models overrides and move it in account as model overrides.
SPECIFICATIONS
Account_edi and various l10n submodules hold some custom code to generate and
handle EDI attachments. It is used to add attachments linked using AccountMove
specific 'edi_document_ids' field when sending emails based on templates.
Currently MailTemplate is overridden in accounting modules to hold code related
to AccountMove and AccountEdiDocument attachments manipulation. This is linked
to EDI and report naming, not mail specific. This should therefore not be
implemented at template level, but in those specific models.
For that purpose we introduce a method in MailThread that allow to handle
attachments when being in a template context. An override in account_edi
allows to implement its specific behavior.
By the way an old docstring in l10n_it_edi that was quite unrelated to the
override is also removed, as it was more confusing than helping.

Make mail_notification_layout as the default mail template and remove
message_notification_email. We now only have 2 main notification mail layout
templates (outside of a light one): the default one and one that inherits from
it to only change the signature to the responsible instead of the author one.
In this operation the layout of message_notification_email has been integrated
in mail_notification_layout to support outlook mail client for which
message_notification_email has just been reworked (odoo/odoo#92847).
Technical note: we have integrated the "internal communication" banner from
"message_notification_email" into the new default template
"mail_notification_layout" which cause one added query in the test for querying
the flag internal from mail.message.subtype.

Ease the understanding of the notifications sent when users are assigned to an
activity or a model (task, lead, ...).
Technical note:
- the customization of data sent to the email layout template (here subtitles)
should be done by overriding
mail_thread._notify_by_email_prepare_rendering_context on the model.
But in this case, we send an activity (ex.: todo) for a model (ex.: crm.lead)
which involves 2 models. Data from both models must be sent to the template
layout. To solve this problem an optional parameter to
mail_thread.message_notify has been added: subtitles. This allows the
caller which knows about the 2 models to set the values for subtitles for
the template.
- mail_activity._render_notify_header has been added to render the subject and
subtitles using the language of the recipients through the context lang
variable.
- a generic mail notification template has been added and the specific
mail_notification_paynow has been derived from it as the only change is the
handling of the signature.

An explicit access check when posting a message has been added at odoo/odoo@9920f20e4c
when adding notably computation of display_name as sudo. However this is not
the role of ``message_post`` to check access for such an implementation
details.
Access is anyway already granted through the various browse and record access
done during the posting process. Moreover even message access (creation or
read) is protected notably through its related record ACLs.
Portal/Public access on message_post is anyway done through dedicated routes
using tokens or hash/pid that call message_post as sudo. We can therefore
remove the explicit access check added a bit wildly in the middle of the code.

Purpose is to add helpers on activity model, notably to ease batching based
on models. As activities are linked to records using a res_model / res_id
pair most code is not optimized (checking records one by one). Purpose of
this tool is to ease doing computation by batch of models.
Task-2883589 (Activity performance and cleaning)
Part-of: odoo/odoo#93682
We now return generated records when calling ``_action_send_mail`` on mail
composer. This allows to have access to generated emails (in mass mode) or
posted messages (in comment mode). Otherwise we have to access sub-fields
like activity_ids / message_ids, which may be inefficient or generate extra
ACLs checks.
Also replace some |= with += when usage of OrderedSet is not necessary. To
keep ordering, ordered sets are used when doing an or between record sets.
However in some cases we know we are simply adding records not already in
a previous record set, meaning we can just use +.

=======
When someone receives an email with a rating request, he can click on a
smiley. But if he does not write a feedback, nobody is notified. This means
some rating as somehow lost and people are not notified of it.
Specifications
==============
Now, when the user clicks on the smiley, a message is posted but notifications
are not yet sent. This uses the new ``mail.message.schedule`` mechanism added
in this PR. It gives the user some time to write their feedback and send it.
If they write and submit a feedback, the notification process is launched.
Emails and inbox notifications are created and sent.
If they don't write a feedback notification process is launch after 2 hours.
Testing

* either it is set, and we update message schedulers accordingly;
* either we force a void value, which means notification should be done
now and we trigger the schedulers for immediate sending;

Purpose
=======
Currently, only email sending can be scheduled with the `scheduled_date` field
defined on on <mail.mail>. It's not possible to delay the sending of
notifications.
We want to be able to delay the sending of the emails, but also the inbox
and bus bus notifications.
Technical
=========
For that purpose, we created a new model which stores the message we need to
notify with the scheduled date. When a scheduled_datetime is given we skip the
notification process. Instead an entry in that new model is created. A cron
regularly polls the scheduled message and launch the notification process on
messages that are ready to be sent.

Purpose
=======
Move the code which updates the mail message from the message model to mail
thread. Most other thread methods (like `_message_update_content_after_hook`)
are defined at record model level. It makes sense to delegate the update to
documents and not to the message. Message is a low-level technical object
that should not really hold business code.
While modifying this code, an update is done in the update content. We now
also allow to update the body without removing all attachments.
Finally tests are added as this feature was added without really testing
model code.

Steps to reproduce:
1.) Create a custom email domain and incoming email server on a database, set the
Actions to Perform on Incoming Mails to Create a new record: Helpdesk Ticket.
2.) Set an email alias for a Helpdesk team, set the assignment method to
balanced/random, assign some users to the team.
3.) Set another email address to forward emails to the alias for the Helpdesk team.
4.) Emails received directly by the email alias will create tickets and assign
properly, emails that are forwarded to the email alias will fall back on assignment
defaults.
Explanation:
When we get the "Delivered-To" field for the message dictionnary we use
decode_message_header and the message.get_all() function, this function
returns a list with two addresses but it is transformed back into a string
in decode_message_header with a space as separator. This create an issue
when we use email_split_and_format on this string as it uses
email.utils.getaddresses that expects a list of headers field or a text
where addresses are separated with a comma instead of a string with the
header fields separated by " ". Because of that getaddresses fails to get
the right addresses and the recipients field of the message dictionnary is
missing the right address. Hence when we check if the alias is in this
values it does not find it and use the default fall back.
Solution:
To solve the issue we set the separator as a comma in decode_message_header.

Before this commit, when the user creates a private task
and assign another user to that task and then removes
himself and save the task, the current user should no
longer access to that task since the task becomes this
private task of the other user assigned on it.
So when the current user changes anything in that task,
it will have a `Access Error`.
However if the user tries to remove a follower on that
task he will also have a traceback because no thread is found.
The reason why no thread is found is because the user has
no longer access to the record and so he has no longer
access to the chatter.
This commit checks if a thread is found before continuing
the process. If no thread is found then the user has no
access to the chatter instead of throwing a traceback

Issue: when using Amazon's SES SMTP service they rewrite the Message-Id of all
outgoing messages. When someone replies, In-Reply-To contains the SES Message-Id
which we don't know. Threading is therefore broken. Amazon requires to remember
new Message-Id and handle it ourself, which is complicated [1].
Possible solution: copy the Message-Id to References in outgoing message as if
we were pretending that the message is part of a pre-existing thread with
itself. Since Amazon does not alter References it is kept during transport.
Replies will therefore contain both Amazon Message-Id and Odoo Message-Id as

Indeed due to a typo new_parent was not updated. Instead of getting higher in

parent finding was not working.
New parent management, depending on ``_mail_flat_thread`` is now
* ``_mail_flat_thread`` True: no free message. If no parent, find the first
posted message and attach new message to it. If parent, get back to the
first ancestor and attach it. We don't keep hierarchy (one level of
threading);
* ``_mail_flat_thread`` False: free message = new thread (think of mailing

setting this parameter without having to deal with ``rating_apply`` details.
CODE CLEANUP
Split behavior that is generic but actually used only in project about stage
update based on rating. Move it directly in project. As it is used only once
and as generic approach is hardcoded based on fields names better keep it
localized.
Task-2812665 (Rating: Cleanup rating flow code)
Part-of: odoo/odoo#80707
Current behavior :
When you delete a record (for example project.task), all the messages related
to this record aren't deleted.
This, in case a user has his notifications managed in Odoo, may prevent him
from accessing the History tab in the Discuss app because these messages are
linked to a record that doesn't exist anymore and it will raise a Missing Record
error
Steps :
*with demo data*
- Install Project
- Make Marc Demo notifications managed in Odoo
- Delete a task project to which Marc Demo is assigned
(*with Marc Demo*)
- Go to Discuss and try to access History tab

Skip the confirmation step when wanting to get rid of a notification
for emails, sms or letters that were not sent.
Technical:
- All 3 wizards to confirm the discarding of the notification have been removed
(the ones for mail, sms and letter) have been removed
- The method to discard notification has been centralized in MailThread
(notify_cancel_by_type in addons/mail/models/mail_thread.py)
- This centralization has been done as well on the client code as the same
server code is called whether it is a mail, a sms or a letter
(in addons/mail/static/src/models/notification_group/notification_group.js)
- Existing front and back test have been adapted
- A test of notify_cancel_by_type for mail has been added
(addons/test_mail/tests/test_mail_management.py)
- add missing author_id in mail_notification demo data

There were inconsistencies in the calls to `_render`.
* the view context could contain information that misled developers.
Indeed, the context and value of the view are not supposed to be found
in the rendering. Thus by calling `ir.qweb` with the name of the
template, we ensure that there is no unwanted information and in
addition the cache key is that of the name of the template which saves
a query.
* the context used for rendering was modified by a method on
`ir.ui.view`, except this is not information used by this model. There
is now a `_prepare_environment` method residing on `ir.qweb`. This
method allows to modify the value dictionary as well as the context in
which the rendering will be done. This preparation of the data as well
as my security check is done only once per rendering. This also saves
some queries
* Freeze options for rendering were inconsistent. It could be that
options on which rendering depends were not part of the cache key. Thus,
depending on the user who generated the generation of the rendering
function, there was or was not information in the template. For example
for automatic branding. This is no longer possible, because it is the
context that is used. The options serving as a cache key are only
recorded for information (for the profiling system for example). A
simplification of the `ir.qweb.field` models could be made.
The report rendering and call `ir.qweb` instead of `ir.ui.view`.

This commit modifies most of the usages of read_group and uses
_read_group instead. _read_group doesn't join automatically on the
many2one fields when no order_by is specified, making it more performant
when the "name" of the many2one is not relevant, which is the case for
most back-end cases
