Requires markup every markup-using tip content as Markup. Would be a
nice occasion to migrate everything to a markup-safe markdown I think,
especially if we could migrate the translations so we don't lose them.

The ImageOptimizer option can now set shapes on images to use those
shapes as clip path and background. It uses a flexible path so that the
shape will always fit the image proportionally. We also added an html
file alongside a javascript file to semi-convert the shape from
illustrator into a usable shape for this usecase (the clip path must
have values between one and zero therefore we must do some computation
before the shape is ready to use).
Thanks to Samuel for this specific shape-converter tool and other
technical points about svgs and clip-paths.
Thanks to Mehdi for remaining development post-testing and post-reviews
and for the many fixes.
Thanks to Brieuc for the actual shape SVG files.

Before this commit, when editing a mass_mailing template, on save,
the editor would not tell the snippet menu to perform a cleanForSave
which it should normally do for the option to properly prepare to save.
Bug discovered while working on task-2327045
Ideally, would need to be backported but requires a different fix in the
old editor.

HTML fields used to have a toggle button for a "code view" (which came
from the Summernote library), in debug mode. This allowed the advanced
user to edit content with jinja conditions. This was lost with the new
editor but reintroduced for Mass Mailing. As it turns out it was needed
elsewhere so this makes the code view available as a node option, and
already activates it for mail templates.
To activate the code view in an html field:
```xml
<field type="html" options="'codeview': True"/>
Mass Mailing needs to extend the registry of wysiwyg snippets but
couldn't do so because they didn't live in the same window. This moves
the mass mailing snippets to the top window.
Make the email body take the entire space to avoid having some wasted space,
this will also make the user have more focus when designing an email.
Revamp the settings notebook page in order to give more clarity to the user,
and move some fields from the main form have been moved to this section to
have more space in the bottom for the email body.
In the mailing form, when the mailing is sent or is being sent, set fields
which are no longer useful for the user to change to readonly mode.
Add a wizard that enables the user to schedule a mailing, the schedule field is
still kept in the form for the user to be able to change the date when the
mailing is in the queue (if they want to send it sooner).
Display an action helper-style content when the email is empty, because,
currently, the user is left with a big white screen when the email has no
content which is not desirable.
Update the html_empty function to take into account style attributes to better
match the editor's void content.
Hide A/B testing fields from SMS mailing form view as these are not supported
for SMS marketing.
This makes it possible to declare an element unsuitable as parent of the
tour tip via the "o_forbidden_tooltip_parent" class.
We then apply this class to the "o_we_customize_panel" of mass_mailing's
snippets menu so the tip is applied to its parent like in saas-14.2.
Without that, the tip is hidden by the body of the mail. The reason it
was positioned in the parent in saas-14.2 is that the theme selector
wasn't in the customize panel but positioned absolutely above it.
This is an ad-hoc fix to something of an ad-hoc situation, given the
relative weirdness of the html environment (the snippets menu is in the
padding of the body of an iframe).
This commit handles 2 things:
- Clarifies why some inline style has to remain inline instead of being moved
to a separate file.
- Moves an inline modification to field_html for testing purpose to
a dedicated file.
This has been done to improve consistency in asset bundles declarations
by reducing them to the simplest possible templates.
Depdending on situation several fixes (f885202, fc8e446) leads to issue
in small screen size:
- in iframe editor with without snippets => the width of the content is
decreased of several times the sidebar that is not shown
- in editor with sidebar => the content gets behind the sidebar
With this changeset we remove part of the above commits which seem to
fix both issue.
note: this also fixes that the mass mailing content applied CSS should
not depend on screen size, or what is send would differ dependin on
which screen size clicked on SAVE (on last inlining of CSS).
Scenario:
- create mass mailing with icons and without title
- save and get error "The followign fields are invalid: Subject"
- fill subject and save
- edit
=> the icons have disappeared
This is because mass mailing widget is using:
- a "body_html" field that contains inlined html
- a wysiwyg editor to edit field "body_arch"
- a textarea containing "body_arch" value to be saved
When we save this happens:
1. we save the current value of wysiwyg into textarea
2. wysiwyg content is inlined (eg. transforming font in image)
3. inlined wysiwyg content is set to "body_html" field
4. if there:
- is no error while saving => body_html and body_arch are saved and
will be used on next edition
- if there is an error the fields are not saved, and we now have an
inlined content on wysiwyg, so next time we save the "body_arch" is
going to be inlined:
=> this for example breaking the icons on edition
New solutions are being investigated in master. For the moment, it seems
better to remove Jabberwock to unlock difficult forward-port between
14.0 and 14.1/master, until we decide what to do once and for all in
a later master. We may un-revert this later but that would be way easier
than reverting Jabberwock in a few months.
This was done as safely as possible by removing any commit related to
Jabberwock, then resolving conflicts, then reforcing commits from 14.0
that were hugely adapted for 14.1/master, then forcing the whole diff
over a rebased 14.1/master. The only possible miss (other than me making
a mistake) would be commits that were not forward-ported to 14.1 thanks
to Jabberwock handling the issue on its own (I know we had such commits
in website, which I manually included in this revert, see below).
PURPOSE
Improves various views related to the mass mailing lists to help the user to
check the "health" of its lists at a glance.
SPECS
Introduce statistic fields on mailing.list:
- Total number of contacts (replaces the previous number of valid emails)
- Number of valid email contacts
- Number of valid SMS contacts
- Number of mailings sent using the list
- Percentage (and total count) of opted-out contacts
- Percentage (and total count) of blacklisted contacts
- Percentage of contacts having at least one bounced message
The statistics are shown on the kanban and also on the form view where they are
used to quickly reach the associated mailings / contacts.
Demo data were slightly adapted to show more interesting demos on views.
On a technical point of view, the various counts of contacts are made in a
single query using CASE WHEN syntax.
We need some entry points in the query to be able to dynamically add fields and
joins in the mass_mailing_sms app, but it's better than copy/pasting multiple
times a very similar query.
This commit lays the groundwork for the new editor by adding empty files to the assets in
order to change them later on. The new editor is not stable enough to be merged right
now, but delaying it to 15.0 would be problematic as the current editor has many bugs that
we are unable to fix because of how summernote interacts with browser-dependent code as well
as all the hacks that were done on top of it for Odoo since 8.0.
PURPOSE
Add a block that allows recipients to check the email in a browser in case
their mail service provider does not render it well or to see it full screen.
SPECIFICATIONS
A thumbnail has been added in the snippet thumbnails list of the mail editor.
It allows to add an header snippet. This snippet contains a link allowing the
recipient to see the mail in its browser instead of its mail client.
Add a route to display a mailing content. This route should be recipient
dependent as mailings could contain jinja markers. Using the same access token
and check as unsubscribe route this public route allows to display a mailing
content directly rendered for a given customer.
_get_unsubscribe_url method is moved from mail_mail to mailing as it does
not really belong to the mail model. Indeed it is mailing dependent.
A view URL leading to the view in browser route is added. It is managed like
the unsubscribe url: magically avoid shortening, magically rewrite when
sending email.
PR #49886
*: web, mass_mailing, website, website_form, website_sale
New CSS design of the editor (step 1/x).
This work is unfortunately far from perfect but is a first step towards
what we want. In particular, much CSS linked to elements that are meant
to be removed/moved in the upcoming weeks was done in a huge rush but
will thus hopefully be removed/reviewed before the 14.0 release.
As the design is now far more complex including gradients and other
"complex" elements, it was also very difficult to keep a design based on
css-variable so this system was removed, which means that the editor now
appears the same everywhere (backend, frontend, ...). The original goal
of this system was to have an adapted style for backend, frontend and
website visitors. Unfortunately, the current result was a very good
frontend editor design, a not-so-good backend editor design (for mass
mailing at least) and a totally unadapted design for the website
visitors. Making this perfect will be achievable by loading different
assets for those 3 areas and hopefully those assets will only differ by
the values of editor scss variables.
Deprecate alpha, beta, gamma, delta and espilon color names and now use
a new color system: o-color-x, with x from 1 to 5.
This will allow to review the colors of all themes to have nice visuals
for the new color combinations classes, without breaking the current
uses of bg-alpha, alert-delta, etc in current websites of customers
(by keeping the old color and classes for compatibility).
This will also allow to uniformize all themes under the same conventions
to enforce BS color override:
- o-color-1 used as primary (as before, for alpha)
- o-color-2 used as secondary (as before, for beta)
Before, some themes were not following the 2 guidelines. The users
using those themes will simply have the possibility to choose o-color-1
and o-color-2 colors accordingly to restore their website without
breaking the new system features.
Another change is that those colors are defined through color palettes
and not theme color palettes. This will avoid them to generate automatic
bootstrap classes which we don't want (alert, btn) and generate the one
we want by ourself.
Note: for mass mailing, the colors and classes also have been renamed
but the system stays unchanged.
Cause
Before 30db768, the order of execution was:
1. field_html > commitChanges (value = <p><br></p>)
2. mass_mailing_widget > commitChanges (value = "test")
After 30db768:
1. mass_mailing_widget > commitChanges (value = "test")
2. field_html > commitChanges (value = <p><br></p>)
Solution
Use this.saveCroppedImages in mass_mailing widget to
add the delay there too
- Replace the fa-clock icon on the kanban view for
In case of font-awesome icon when the browser is being zoomed, we can
get a decimal font-size.
There is a system that transform font-awesome in image links so they are
readable in any email client (supporting image) but it did not take into
account decimal font-size.
With this changeset, we only send a integer font size: we do not try to
get the original value because styling is relative on elements, a 90%
zoom ratio could lead to a 98% font-awesome icon ratio.
Also improve edition of font-awesome icon edition after first save by
reverting the transformation to image on edit. Thanks to that, the
original size will also be reinstated and will not depend on zoom on
previous save.
This commit removes description of fields that should not be shown in
non-debug mode Studio. Only field widgets whose own description is
set are displayed in non-debug mode Studio in "Widget" of sidebar.
In other words, even if any ancestor has a description but not the
current widget, it won't be displayed in the sidebar in non-debug
mode.
Before this commit, translations were edited in a list view with a filter
on the field that needed to be translated.
After this commit, the translations for each fields are translated in a
dedicated dialog. The changes done to the current language are taken
into account immediately, both ways, from the dialog to the form and
from the form to the dialog.
Translating terms is also available in create mode, the user will be
prompted to save before editing a translation
This commit, unfortunately, mixes three things:
- Restoring as much as possible the scss organisation to allow styling
the web_editor UI properly.
- Fixing some bugs like a border around the page once the editor is
loaded, no ability to scroll the snippets, etc
- Introducing a whole new UI for snippet options: a left panel instead
of the old dropdown & button overlay.
Note: this commit also do some linting and ES6 convertion even though
some of it has been done in the parent commit.
Note 2: some elements that were removed are still styled in the POS apps
but this is because part of a feature was removed while leaving dead
code behind, this is handled in another PR which is to be merged
(https://github.com/odoo/odoo/pull/36136).
