Odoo setup/install documentation needed a re-organization and an update
to reflect the latest dependencies versions.
There was too much warnings and danger signs on this page.
Finally, the structure was not the same for each install method.
* As CentOs is actually too old to handle python3 dependencies for Odoo,
rpm install method is explicitely mentioning Fedora 26.
* The "yum" package manager has been deprecated in Fedora and replaced
with "dnf".
* As Debian and Ubuntu don't ship a python3-num2words package, the
documentation must provide a hint on how to install the module using pip.
* The documentation was missing the virtualenv way of installing Odoo.
* Paragraphs mentioning configuration file were removed. The
reference/cmdline page should be updated consequently.
* [ADD] doc: iap tutorial
Should be easier to approach than the raw APIDoc.
contains:
- overview of the flow
- tutorial (coalroller) with guidelines
- technical description of objects/helpers
Before this, if a new global was added to JS code (module toplevel,
function bodies are not considered) it would blow up when attempting
to resolve variable refs & uses.
Make the toplevel scope a defaultdict such that if e.g. a "foo" is
looked up in a module but not a local variable of that module it's
assumed to be an UnknownNS object (from which further UnknownNS can be
deref'd).
When showing a list in Calendar, it is always sorted at least by
id. If the recordset mixes real and virtual (recurrent) events, this
will blow up as sort() will try to compare the int-typed real event
ids and the string-typed virtual event ids.
Generate a type-compatible id key for both real and virtual events in
order to properly sort.
Closes#20278
* fix Sphinx 1.6 compatibility leading to the "tiles" on the home page
not working anymore: 1.6 replaces BuildEnvironment.reolve_toctree by
TocTree().resolve(), while the method still exists it's not actually
called anymore
* rejigger some CSS as the second section went from one big tile to 3
smaller tiles, and got laid out as a row rather than a second 2x2
block. Recode the entire mess with flexbox, remove some stuff which
conflicted with boostrap (this screen should probably be
de-boostrapped and completely converted to flexbox or grid)
* add building CSS from LESS to the makefile, all Odoo devs should
have less installed locally (for assets)
On Ubuntu Xenian, the Odoo package was difficult to install because
three Debian packages were required but could not be found in Ubuntu
repositories. As those packages are not really crucial, they are
now only suggegsted by the Debian package which is therefore
installable on Ubuntu Xenial. One can manually install them as
explained in the documentation.
Closes#20000
Use python 3.5
Refer to correct page of the doc
Remove old bazar to git (was intended for the 8.0)
Remove outdated setup_dev script: it was intended for odoo developers but if you
are not able to make a git clone, you are going to have a bad time later.
