Currently when calling default_get (example: Create a new task), if a user is set on the new task, the assign date is automatically set at now()
It seems wrong for 2 reasons:
- It's alreay done either in write or create
- If the user creates a new task, but removes himself from the `Assigned to` field, the assignation date is still set, which is wrong.
If the new project of the task or issue has the current record stage
among its own stages do not reset it. It avoids unnecessary changes and
chatter logs.
According to usability experts configuring a sales team alias should
be done directly on the sales team view and not through an hidden
and strangely configured settings.
Purpose
=======
The new kanban status history in the chatter is not clear for the end user.
Specification
=============
When the state of a task is change the chatter should display the kanban state custom label instead of the kanban state
-> Move Subtasks mechanism from hr_timesheet to project.
-> Various functional improvements:
- Add new 'Sub-tasks' setting and 'Sub-task Project' field based on
this setting.
- Relabel 'Team Collaboration' section to 'Task Management'.
- Remove 'Customer Satisfaction' section and move setting
'Rating on Tasks' into 'Task Management' section.
- Add customer name on the project's kanban view.
- Set default value of 'Sub-task Project' field is the same project.
- Add 'Parent Task' stat button on task form view.
- Make 'Sub-Tasks' stat button visible when no parent task
In Python 3:
* various builtins and dict methods were changed to return
view/iterable objects rather than lists
* and the separate Python 2 view/iterable builtins and methods were
removed altogether
This is problematic when using these items as list (which the happens
repeatedly in Odoo), but more viciously when iterating *multiple times*
over them (which also happens, which I've messed up multiple times while
writing this, and which is a pain to debug even when you've just created
the issue).
Convert all code using these to semantics-matching cross-version
helper functions to get the LCD behaviour between P2 and P3, and
forbid the builtins via lint.
issue #8530
This commit removes document count on project kanban view. Indeed it
does not add much valuable information and bloats the kanban cards.
In order to keep the kanban card order, it was required to adapt all
inherited views. The order is 'task', 'issue', 'rating', 'timesheet'
and 'forecast'.
It also uses a read_group to better compute task count, by the way.
This commit proposes to improve the way people follow project with two
additions
* project manager is now automatically follower of his project
* customer is now automatically follower of customer projects. Those
projects are meant to be used with external people and access rights
are based on followers. Adding the customer in followers allow him
to see and participate in the project tasks and/or issues.
Companies now always have a default calendar configured. All methods in
resource module should therefore be able to use a real resource.calendar.
This commit removes the computation based on a pseudo 8-17 calendar
given as weird method parameters.
Project is updated in order to use the company calendar by default.
When subscribing to a project, an user is also subscribe to all existing
living tasks. Active is defined as active tasks not in a folded stage.
As requested.
First step towards cleaning and improving automated actions is to
correctly name things. base_action_rule module is therefore renamed
to base_automation. Model is also renamed to base.automation.
Remove unrestricted "read" access. To make code internally using `ir.model`
work, add a private method `_get` on `ir.model` to retrieve the record
corresponding to a model name, without access rights issue.
Change signature of method `get_authorized_fields` to make it use a model name
instead of a model id. This removes the necessity of a search on `ir.model`.
- Use read_group to compute task_count of res.partner
for performance sake
- When creating a task/issue from partner form view,
the default partner will be the current one (event if
the use case is rare)
- Only display button when count is greater than 0
- Also avoid default 'My Tasks' filter when coming from
partner form view
ir.needaction_mixin is not used anymore by the webclient.
From 9.0, the concept has changed: this feature is now
available in mail module, with the mail.thread mixin,
and message_neeadction field.
Remove all code handeling needaction bullet and
counter on ir.ui.menu, knowing that since 9.0
webclient does not display the counter anymore.
This code was, thus, useless and some RPC calls
were done for nothing, and adapt accounting
reconcialiation widget.
Kanban state values are different from their visual display. When searching
on kanban state it is not easy to understand the link between the label
and the color. We now set the label as the color to ease matching and
searching. However in kanban view labels can be defined on the stage
itself. This way searching is done on the color while working with
tasks and issues in kanban is done using business meaning defined on
the stage.
As this button leads to a void form view without context it is not
really usefull. As creating new records is achieved using aliases
there is no real need for a New Task/Issue/Note button.
mail/new controller is kept for compatibility but should be removed
before v11.
There is now a single method easier to inherit to add specific behavior
for the display of access button as well as actions buttons. All addons
using this mechanism are updated accordingly.
The dictionary `_group_by_full` is replaced by a field parameter `group_expand`
that is assigned to the method name. The API of the method has been simplified
as well:
@api.multi
def _read_group_stage_ids(self, domain, read_group_order=None, access_rights_uid=None):
# the stages are given by self.ids (wrong model);
# read_group_order is the order given to read_group() on self;
# return stages.name_get(), {stage.id: stage.fold)
_group_by_full = {'stage_id': _read_group_stage_ids}
is now written:
stage_id = fields.Many2one(..., group_expand='_read_group_stage_ids')
@api.model
def _read_group_stage_ids(self, stages, domain, order):
# stages is a recordset;
# order is the order to use on stages' model;
# return a recordset which is a superset of stages

Purpose
=======
The company form should be heavily simplified. It's complex to have some settings on the company form, and others on the Settings menu of the related app. It would be much easier to have all settings in Settings menu (res.config) and nothing on the company, even if some of the Settings are multi company. (Stored on the company but set from the Settings menu).
This report is too advanced and/or complex to be a single menuitem. Furthermore the model was a mess and a horn of plenty for bugs.
The class ProjectTaskHistoryCumulative inherits from the class ProjectTaskHistory, and create a view based on the same model.The orginal class defines a compute field 'end_date' which calls a compute method '_compute_end_date' that will either make a simple assignment or a SQL request if the columns is always opened or folded.
As ProjectTaskHistoryCumulative is declare with '_auto=False' the compute method will try to write on this table, which is obviously wrong because we are trying to write on a view.
This leads to erors when trying to edit a project stage like:
OperationalError: cannot update view "project_task_history_cumulative"
DETAIL: Views that do not select from a single table or view are not automatically updatable.
HINT: To enable updating the view, provide an INSTEAD OF UPDATE trigger or an unconditional ON UPDATE DO INSTEAD rule.
or when trying to delete a column which already contains some tasks.
So we removed this these models and view and replaced them by a simple favorite filter in the Tasks Reports
Before this patch, the order of a project's task type (its columns)
were defined by a sequence. However, when you quick-create columns,
they have the same sequence value: 1 by default. This results in
weird behavior when you edit a task type (for example, by changing its
tooltips), the column is moved at the end.
By ordering by sequence and id, the behavior is more intuitive
as the colum doesn't move when you edit it.
Split project to move portal features to a new module named website_project.
Portal users may now access their projects and tasks throught the
website_portal My account page. The Backend portal menuitem is removed.
Simplify the privacy settings of project, to be visible to portal users the
project must be in 'portal' mode.
