When more than one parameter is present in a message, it helps the
translation to use named placeholder. This way, the order can be
changed. It also helps the comprehension of the message.
This commit is a significant rewriting of client-side discuss, chatter,
chat window, and messaging menu using OWL. The behavior should be broadly
the same, with some slight functional changes here and there.
From a technical standpoint, the code of messaging is mainly organized in 2
main groups of modules:
- models, which are logical entities that depict the client-side state of
messaging as a whole.
- components, which are in charge of displaying information from models.
This refactoring also introduces new JS guidelines regarding folder structure
(/static) and naming rules for JS modules.

Purpose of this commit is to correctly compute author_id and email_from
in mail_message and mail_mail as they depends from each other. Moreover it
is a good idea in various flows to specify email and author when giving
creation values to avoid default computation that is not always guaranteed to
be accurate notably when involving super user.
Mail message creation could lead to desynchronized values between author
and email_from. This is improved with this commit by correctly inheriting
from default_get and computing both of them at the same time instead of having
two default values. Indeed they depend on each other.
Same thing is done for mail composer. Mail Thread offers a tool method to
find email_from / author_id based on having one of those values or current
user and it is called whenever necessary.
Some calls to mail template send_mail are also cleaned.

Currently when inviting someone on a document all recipients are considered
as standard customers. It means access buttons are not displayed and
addon specific behavior not really triggered.
This commit makes use of ``_get_recipient_data`` tool method allowing
to categorize recipients in groups and display buttons and action links
like other post on documents.

Multi is the default api for methods, it is not necessary to explicitly
decorate methods with it, adds clutter and most people use it because
they see that the rest of the code uses it.

This commit prepares SMS refactoring by updating some mail models. Purpose
is to be able to store SMS notification information inside existing mail
flow and models.
Main changes
* mail.notification: define a notification_type field to store the medium
used to notify people. In mail two ways exist: inbox and email. It will
ease introduction of SMS notification mechanism. This field replaces the
is_email boolean field;
* mail.notification: make res_partner_id field not required. This means
notifications could be linked to something else than a partner. An SMS
for example. For Inbox and email notifications partner is still required
and a constraint is added accordingly;
* mail.thread: let notification methods handle the creation and update of
their notification instead of creating them in _notify_thread and tweaking
them in sub notification methods;
* mail.thread: clearly move inbox-style notification in its own method like
notify by email;
Some lighter code changes
* propagate message_type to notification recipient computation. It will
allow for example to be more precise when computing a notification type
depending on the message_type. For example, send a notification by SMS
when the message_type is SMS;
* ease inheritance of ``_notify_thread`` by returning computed recipients
data. It will allow to work on it without having to re-compute it;
* propagate kwargs from message_post and message_notify to notify methods.
This allow to avoid depending on context and set explicit parameters.
Drawback is that message_post and notify must separate kwargs used to
create a message and those that are propagated to notification methods;
* update various notification check to ensure they work on email
notifications, notably the resend and cancel wizards;
One side effect of this commit is that notifications are created by the
relevant notification method. Previously all notifications were created
by writing on needaction_partner_ids fields then updated according to the
notification process. Notably there could be too much notification created
when sending emails due to _notify_customize_recipients not being correctly
synchronized with notification. This issue is now solved as only really
sent emails create notifications.
Migration tips
* notification_type: notification.is_email and 'email' else 'inbox';
* remove is_email;

Purpose of this commit is to clean notification process: calls, methods
API, method name, variable propagation.
Contains notably
* simplify API of methods used to group recipients when sending notification
emails;
* improve and rename methods used in email notification process;
* move some methods on model itself as non mail thread records could be
mass-mailed and _notify_email_headers could be called on other records;

Purpose
=======
display_name is equal to doing name_get()[0][1]
Replacing name_get()[0][1] by display_name could be good for 2 things:
- Uniformization of the code
- Probable optimization if name_get is used inside a for loop on a recordset (as the values will be prefetched and put in the cache).

Fix translation placeholders in invite wizard, to make them easier to
understand for translators. Also rework the message generation code
to ensure proper XML structure.
Purpose of this commit is to avoid browsing and prefetching data about
recipients when notifying a message to partners and channels. Mail message
_notify computes all necessary data in a single query. This commit allow
to re-use this data by propagating it through the call chain.
Addons inheriting from classification methods used when sending notification
emails are updated accordingly to the API and data update.
This commit is linked to task ID 47934 and PR #24033. No functional change
should occur with this commit.
This commit cleans code about sending email notification to recipients.
Purpose of this code is to prepare notification emails, group recipients
and finally send emails. In this commit we clean and optimize a bit by
* propagating some additional parameter to simplify code, like record
on which the notification process runs;
* inlining some code currently located in sub-methods. It eases code
understanding as there are less code jumps. As those methods are not
inherited inlining them can be done;
* simplifying a bit notification emails preparation and computation;
It allows to save a few query by avoiding to fetch and browse again some
data that were already computed.
This commit is linked to task ID 47934 and PR #24033. No functional change
should occur with this commit.
Only the add_sign from notif_values is usefull for a resend. We can consider
that a mail on resend can be delete in every case, and we can find the
model_description from model since a resend can only be performed on
message linked to a model.
The other notif_values are now parameter in order to ease the understanding
of what can transit through this flow.
Task: #1860054
PR: #25622
Purpose of this commit is to allow to give additional values when rendering
notification emails and to make some parameters explicit.
This commit updates the _notify API. It allow to propagate a dictionary
containing values given to the rendering of the notification template.
This allow to have more complex templates and/or to control the rendering
depending on some parameters. Indeed currently only some fixed values and
values coming form the message to notify are given to the rendering
context.
First use will be soon when pushing notification emails not necessarily
linked to documents. In this process some values will be given by the caller
and not only by the message context anymore.
This commit also moves some context key used to control the notification
process directly in values given to the _notify method. It allows to make
those parameters explicit and rely less on context.
The _notify method now takes a values dictionary that may contain
* add_sign: add user signature to notification email, default is True.
It replaces the ``mail_notify_user_signature`` context key;
* mail_auto_delete: auto delete send emails, default is True. It
replaces the ``mail_auto_delete`` context key;
* other values are given to the context used to render the notification
template, allowing customization.
It allows to remove some context switch notably in the composer. A values
dictionary is computed and given to message_post and then propagated to
the notification mechanism.
Remove unrestricted "read" access. To make code internally using `ir.model`
work, add a private method `_get` on `ir.model` to retrieve the record
corresponding to a model name, without access rights issue.
Change signature of method `get_authorized_fields` to make it use a model name
instead of a model id. This removes the necessity of a search on `ir.model`.
Using after commit event notifications emails are now send once the current
transaction is finished. This allows having issues with emails being sent
while the transaction failed sometimes after email sending, but still in the
same transaction.
A small hook is done to allow invitation emails to be sent directly as some
data related to mail.message is unlinked directly in the wizard.
The wizard is the same object, but to add channel as follower, some fields was not required. Via the 'mail_invite_follower_channel_only' context key, the unrelevant fields are hidden.
This commit add instant messaging features in mail module to make it a real team collaboration tool. Lots of these new features will replace Timeleine view (which is not removed in this commit). Many files have been moved, split or created for a better structure.
- My Channels : A user can be member of channel (mail.channel). These are discussion group, but also an aggregate of notification. Setting a channel as document follower, it will receive all the message (of the chatter) in real time, as information stream.
- A new Inbox : this aims to replace the timeline view. The user will see its channels grouped by 'slot', and receive the message in real time. Jump to the form view, invite people, create private discussion group, talk directly to another employee, ... are the main features. Your message can still be starred. The 'Inbox' will only contain your needaction.
- Needaction concept : a needaction is a message calling you to do something. If you follow a document as a person, the posted message will be 'needaction' for you. It can also be a message where you are mention with a '@my_name' (this feature is not added in this commit).
- The chatter doesn't change so much. It still allow you to see the discussion about the document, to star some message, and treat your needaction.
- Chat : the only way to have a minified conversation is from the Inbox Client Action. It allow you to keep an eye on a channel when working on document.
- Compose Message : it is now common to the Inbox, and the chatter. It offers shortcode substitution, attachments management, and optional subtype.
- UI : the chat window has been clean, they have a new look now.
To do so,
- Chatter code have been completely rewrite, independently of timeline view
- Add 'bus' as mail dependency, to insure real time
- A mail.message is broadcasted on the bus channel (db, mail.channel, channel_id), and a channel header on (db, res.partner, partner_id)
- Extracting mail_thread mixin used for Chatter and ChatMailThread (Inbox client action). This uniformize the programming structure with the server side
- Clean CSS style and use LESS instead of CSS
- Define a new messafe format (message_format method in mail_message.py), compatible with fetching and broadcasting
- Apply guideline coding conventions
This commit also break the module im_livechat, since im_chat models don't exists anymore and will be fixed in the next commit.

Notification emails have been redesigned. They notably include buttons
allowing to perform some action directly from the email.
The notification creation and sending has been partially rewritten
and improved. The purpose is to lessen the number of rendering to perform
when sending emails to recipients. Recipients are first categorized into
groups. Basic groups are partners and users. The notification template
is then rendered twice, one for followers and one for not-followers. In most
cases there will be few rendering to perform. Through inheritance it
is possible to further categorize users. For example HR users / officers
that have approve / refuse buttons in their email.
A custom data structure is used to store data about buttons and actions.
URLs, follow / unfollow are added in the structure and used in the
template to render the email for a given group.
New routes are added in mail. Those allow to perform some action, like
going to a form in create mode, following / unfollowing, executing a method,
sending a signal for a workflow. Those routes are for users only and rely
on classic access rights.
A generic route for viewing records is added. It replaces the old redirect
action. According to some specific action given by the already-existing
get_access_action, the record will be visible for everybody (forum, blog)
or restricted (going on the Inbox / login / form view, according to access
rights).
The next commit will add the various inherits necessary to add the actions
in the main addons.
Followers can now be partners or channels. Partners following a document
will receive needaction, as previously. However people can follow documents
through channels. Members of a channel are able to listen to a stream
of messages using the channel. Those messages do not create needaction
messages. It is therefore possible to follow documents without receiving
too much notifications. For interesting documents subscribing with its
partner will create notification.
message_follower_ids fields is udpated. It is now a many2many to
mail.followers, not to res.partner anymore. A subscription can be either
a partner (partner_id) or a channel (channel_id).
Some access rules have been updated accordingly.
Move the notification management from mail.notification to res.partner model.
Those methods belong more to the partner model, as they work on partners.
Moreover with the upcoming new model for NewChatter notification will be
heavily refactored.
- [FIX] bounce regex: too many emails were considered as bounce and therefore
not displayed in the chatter and lost for the communication history. The regex
was not correctly looking for the bounce alias in the email_to.
- [FIX] invite email: replying to the invitation email (invitation as new
follower) now replies to the user sending the invitation.
- [FIX] mass_mailing: added a column to store the id of the original email
in addition to the many2one column. The many2one is set to null when deleting
the original email. As the information is necessary, it is saved on another
field. The many2one is necessary for indexes purpose as the inverse of
a one2many.
