With this commit, all instances of errors being raised inside
`BaseModel.unlink` overrides are moved into methods decorated with
`api.ondelete` which is safer.
Before this commit:
The field `planned_hours` and `subtask_planned_hours` are present
twice. This causes problems with widget: different widgets are put
on different fields, but only the last on was put on all of them.
Code to edit label with hours/days is not flexible, we need to
write each possibilities.
After this commit:
All fields are present only once in the view. A new widget is
created to manage days with a factor. In this new widget, instead
of having a toggle button, we can insert a float.
When the widget timesheet_uom is set on a field, we modify his string
with hours/days.

[IMP] hr_timesheet: hide the "Timesheet Timer" feature in the project form if encoding unit is not Hours
[IMP] hr_timesheet: clean display of Days for timesheets
A computed field has to be added to retrieve the encoding uom of the current company and be used in the views.
FieldTimesheetFactor field has to be registered to "float_factor" widget for the "planned_hours" field to work correctly with Days
(for the conversion from hours to days to be computed and to be able to set a greater value than 1 day)
If encoding unit for timesheets is set to Days:
- Display Days instead of Hours in Portal > Timesheets
- Display Days instead of Hours in Portal > Tasks
- Display Days instead of Hours in Portal > Invoices & Bills
- Display Days instead of Hours in Portal > Tickets
[IMP] hr_timesheet: display clean duration in Timesheet Entries
Display Days instead of Hours in Timesheet Entries (print action) if encoding unit for timesheets is set to Days
[IMP] hr_timesheet: correctly display timesheets in Days if configured to
- correctly display remaining days in project.task kanban and list view
- hide timer start button if timesheet is configured in Days
- update several column names
[IMP] hr_timesheet: clean code
[IMP] hr_timesheet: small improvements when displaying timesheets in days
- Rename some labels
- Fixes style
- Prevent fields displayed with widget "timesheet_uom" to change when timer is on
- Display correctly "Initially Planned Days" field in task creation form
This commit fixes all issues detected by the new pylint
gettext-variable test.
It converts some calls to the new syntax
_("Foo %s", bar)
to progressively migrate the code to the new syntax.
A few calls were not technically incorrect but still detected by the

_("Foo" +
"Bar")
has been converted to
_("Foo"
"Bar")
as it has the same effect and make sure the argument is of type
asteroid.Const instead of BinOp).

Currently, it is only possible to set an Analytic Account for a whole Project, there
is no distinction by task. However, if the user has 1 task per customer, he cannot
track the costs and revenues for that specific customer easily. He has to manually
change the AA of the timesheets' analytic lines. An option would be to set a
different AA on the SO generating the task, but the AA of the project takes over
anyway.

In Project, the configuration has to be done twice: in the settings of the
app and on each project.
During the onboarding, the user won't understand that a feature has to be
enabled at both places and will think that the system just doesn't work.
If the user enabled a feature, he most likely intends on using it for most
of his projects. Therefore, having to do a double configuration for each
new project is annoying.
By the way, sub-tasks is the only global feature (it can't be enabled or
disabled by project), so we are breaking it down by project to remain
consistent with the rest.
Specification
=============
1/ Enable subtasks per project
Before this commit, sub-tasks were a global feature (i.e. once enabled
they were enabled for all projects). This commit gives the ability to
enable/disable sub-tasks per project.
2/ Make project_id on planning required
3/ Change default rating status on new projects
4/ Default value for allow_subtasks
5/ Enable timesheets on existing projects
6/ Hide Total Hours if subtasks are disabled
7/ Create project in the company context.
Otherwise some records generation could use a default company which is not
the company for which we want to create a project.
8/ Default value for allow_forecast, is_fsm
9/ Change reference to timesheet product
10/ Fix tracback on industry_fsm_report.
Before this commit, there was a traceback when enabling "Worksheets"
(industry_fsm_report) after "Time and Material" (industry_fsm_sale).

Fixes issues where static multi-company filtering would get squashed /
replaced by dynamic domains not having those filters.
The conditional could be replicated in two ways: one would be to use a
python-level conditional expression:
a if cond else b
this is easier for users to interpret, but harder to analyze: python
expressions are currently opaque to view analysis (and possibly
eventually to domain edition).
The alternative here is to leverage domain simplification:
(OR (= (not cond) 1) section)
if `cond` is true becomes
(OR (= 0 1) section)
and thus `section` itself, while if `cond` is false it becomes
(OR (= 1 1) section)
and thus `true` (so the section doesn't apply).
It works OK though the inversion of the condition itself is a bit
bizarre.
And in this specific case since we need both branches the negated
condition requires explicitly converting the condition to a boolean if
it might not be one: the expression compiler recognizes specifically
`(= 0 1)` and `(= 1 1)` (`(= False 1)` and `(= True 1)` also work for
Python reasons).

Since this settings widget is a check-box it is already obvious that this field turn on or off a feature. Plus it makes the field easier to translate and the form view a little bit lighter.
related task 2047389
This attribute is misleading as it is insufficient to correctly upgrade
the database. It only renames the column in the database, but other
operations are needed, like updating the corresponding `ir.model.fields`
record (and its xmlid). The default values and the translations are also
lost during the upgrade.
Moreover, this feature was misused. It was:
- left on fields during multiple versions.
- used on reports (SQL views). This would be ok if the feature was
complete, but, as is, it was useless.
- kept unchanged after a second renaming of the field (which can happen
versions later the first rename).
- used, even when the meaning of the field changed. i.e. the field
`archived` has been renamed to the classic `active`, but the value
in the database should be switched.
Multi is the default api for methods, it is not necessary to explicitly
decorate methods with it, adds clutter and most people use it because
they see that the rest of the code uses it.
Done with `find . -type f -name '*.py' | xargs sed -i '/@api.multi/d'`
When we remove the inheritS between project and analytic account, we move the
analytic_accound_id field in timesheet because it was the only use case for
a project to be linked to an analytic account.
This commit prepares new cost origin for a project (other that timesheet).
Register costs on project will required an analytic account to keep analytic
costs tracking. The analytic account management is now moved to project, like
it was in 10.0, but without the inheritS.
Task-1911581
Purpose
=======
Allow the user to select the allowed companies for which he wants to see records
on top of selecting his current company.
It is confusing for users to see the records from the company he is connected to
and the records of the children companies.
Instead of using the hierarchy of companies to access records across companies,
the user can now select (from his set of allowed companies) the companies for
which he wants to access records.
/!\ This means that the user will interact with records from company A when in
company B.
Example: a SO has been created and confirmed in A. When in B, I create the
invoice from it.
Specifications
==============
1/ Deprecate the parent/children hierarchy on the res.company model. The fields are
kept on the res.company model to ensure the retro-compatibility, but won't be used
accross the standard code anymore. The only functional usage for this mechanism
was to allow to see records from several companies by creating a virtual parent
company, which will be possible with the new mechanism.
2/ By default, a user will only see the records of the company he is connected
to (or records without a company). (It is still editable by the user if needed).
For that, put this information in the user context, to allow having different
configurations on different browser tabs. Instead of having domains like
['|',
('company_id', '=', False),
('company_id', 'child_of', user.company_id.id)]
you'll have something like
['|',
('company_id', '=', False),
('company_id', 'in', company_ids)]
Note that the 'company_ids' is a value that is passed in the evaluation
context on the record rule, as we already have user, or time.
company_ids is a list of the ids of all the enabled companies in the
user's context.
3/ Out of the generic improvements brought by this task, this will illustrate
issues that could exist since several versions. For example, it should not be
possible to create a scrap order for the company A with a package of the company
B, or it should not be possible to create an invoice on the company A with
payment terms from the company B. Before the version 12.0, it was easy to
encounter this kind of issues as the admin was the SUPERUSER_ID. A positive side
effect of the fact that the SUPERUSER_ID has become an inactive user was to
make it more difficult to introduce mismatch on the records, but haven't solved
the issue, as it was still possible to do it with parent companies
configuration. Some of these issues have been fixed in this commit, but all the
business flows should be re-tested to check if an ir.rule should be introduced
(eg: a multi company rule for stock.quand.package), if the company of a record
is correctly transfered to another record created from the first record (eg:
From a SO, create an invoice and a payment, the company of the sales order
should be transfered on the invoice and the payment, even if the company of the
sales order is A and I'm logged into the company B with the company A enabled.
4/ Currently, if I click on a button on a notification email (example 'View
Task'), I face a traceback if I'm not logged into the company of the record.
Now, if you click on a button and if you have access to the record, the correct
company will be automatically set.
5/ If I display a kanban view with several records from several companies (and
an image), all the images should be displayed.
6/ Currently if you copy paste an url, this will crash if you're not in the
correct company. This won't be fixed because it's quite impossible to do it in
a clean way. This task brings a workaround. Copy/Paste -> Traceback -> Log into
the correct company, re-copy/paste -> Ok.
7/ 2 property methods have been added on the environment to retrieve the company
on which the user is logged in and the companies the user enabled, on a specific
tab.
That way, when creating a record, instead of doing
default=lambda self: self.env.user.company_id
do
default=lambda self: self.env.company_id
On the other hand, to retrieve the enabled companies, do
companies = self.env.company_ids
8/ Modify the Company Switcher widget to allow to log into another company
WITHOUT writing on the res.users (and thus bringing cache invalidation issues
and so on). Also allow to enable several companies and see records from several
companies, and independantly of the other browser's tabs.
9/ When focusing on a tab, save the current company configuration on the local
storage. That way, when doing 'CTRL+T' or a middle click, the context is
propagated to the new tab.
10/ Improve the error message in case of multi company access errors. Now, when
the user is in debug mode, display the related names of the records and the name
of the user who brings the issue.
11/ Remove the context erasing when writing on a res.users
This is probably coming from the migration to new API of the base module.
The context was not propagated at this moment, which was a common mistake at
that time. When migrating the module, probably by using the 'black box' method,
as the context was not propagated, it was erased on the new version. This is
now an issue because the context (i.e. the enabled companies) was erased when
writing on a res.users, leading to tracebacks.
See: https://github.com/odoo/odoo/commit/7eab8e26d3d46c53f4be924d6a34e80a66e74960#diff-4c2e738ee8f64f11806c889ea097b5e7R624
12/ Fix the crash manager on redirect warnings. The issue is the following
- Create an invoice on a company without a configured CoA.
- Set a partner
- On the onchange_partner_id, a redirect warning is raised to propose you
to configure a CoA
- Click on 'Go to the configuration panel'
- A generic warning says something like 'Do you want to discard your changes?'
- Click on yes, the page refreshes, but not on the redirect action.
Now, set correctly the action on the hash, and reload instead. The breadcrumb is
lost for example, but you reach the correct action at least.
13/ Introduce a res.group to enable/disable the multi company per tab
feature.
14/ To help the users to know which tab is in which company, add the
possibility to have a favicon per company. When creating a company,
the classical 'O' icon is colored by default in a random color.
15/ Remove the company switcher on the frontend. This was mainly there
to allow a user to swicth to the company linked to the website.
This behavior is now transparent to the user. If the website A is
activated, then the company set on the context is the company of the
website.
16/ Deprecated the _company_default_get method on the res.company
model. Remove the method _get_company on the res.users model.
17/ Add 'allowed_company_ids' and 'current_company_id' on the pyeval
context. You can now use those variables on domains in the views to
access directly to the activated company.ies on the current tab.

OPW-1910877
closesodoo/odoo#28943
Purpose: improve understanding of project model as well as their
daily use. This is done by improving tooltips of some fields
according to business logic.
This commit is related to task ID 1885507 and closes PR #27019.
This commit adapts the business code to changes introduced by
the parent commit in order to keep the same behaviour as before.
All readonly=False fields will have to be checked afterwards to confirm
that the business case requires write access to the source field.
The default value when creating a project is true for 'allow_timesheet'
field. This will automatically create an Analytic Account (if not
provided). However, the old onchange reset the allow_timesheet to false
if no AA was given, which is a contraction with the expected behavior
on project creation. But, we might want to uncheck 'allow_timesheet'
when we remove the AA on an existing project (Users can not log
timesheets without an active analytic account).
This commit fixes the erasing default value on creation by checking
the record is currently existing in the database.
Task #1886691
During the super of write, a check constraint is done
in python. So, if writing allow_timesheet=True the constraint
will raise is no AA is set on the project.
This commit restore the exepected behavior.
When a subview is defined in a form view, the fields_view_get
extracts it from the global view arch returned. So extending the
field_view_get does not work to change label on subview.
This commit make this work by extending private implementation
instead.
Task #39079
Impacted modules: hr_timesheet, sale_timesheet
When task is changing project or sale order line, we
don't want anymore to change the linked timesheet.
We now consider a timesheet is done in a specific time
at certain condition that does not have to change when
the environment is modified afterwards.
So, a timesheet linked to an analytic account for a
certain project on a task (and mybe linked to a SO line)
will still be linked to the same object if the task is
billed with another SO or move into a new project.
The idea is task actual configuration (project, AA, SO
line) are the default value at timesheet creation. As
consequences, timesheet from another project can be linked
to a task that does not belong to that project.
Project and task can be modified thougth the UI of timesheet
app. SO line and analytic account of a timesheet can not
be modified as they are more sensitive field (in a business
point of view), especially for invoiced timesheets.
This commit revert opw-1803811, as at that time the
'inheritS' between project and AA was still effective,
and there was only one billable type (task rate) for
task. The introduction of 'employee rate' billing type
will complicate timesheet transfert.
Tasks #34703
We want the UoM name (encoding timesheet) to be
displayed in the label of unit_amount field.
To do so, the field_view_get is extended to change
the label on the field decorated with the `timesheet_uom`
widget, in the view arch
If a string attribute is set on the field, it is prior;
so we only add label if no one is set to avoid breaking
view inheritance.
Task #39079
This commit provides a mecanism to allow user
to log their timesheets using any time UoM
they want. Everything will still be stored
in hours in the database (in the UoM selected
with project_mode_time_id field of the company).
The chosen encoding UoM will provide a widget to
help the encoding (float_toggle for Days,
float_time for Hours, ...). The widget will use
the UoM rate conversion.
Task #39079
'project_time_mode_id' is the field used to determined the UoM to
use when logging timesheets. It is not used in project alone, but
in timesheet. Moving it make sense, and does not cause any problems.
For now, no UI allow the end user to change it: it is set with the
Hours UoM (hardcoded).
This is a technical move to prepare the feature that will allow
people timesheeting in Days or Hours.
Task #39079
Changing mind: it is better to search on remaining
hours of a task, than to make it editable.
So, we got special authorization to restore
this field, and make the world better.
If the project does not allow timesheets, the 'timesheet' tab on task
should be hidden. If the project allows timesheet but its related
analytic account is inactive, the warning message will be displayed
to avoid user to record timesheets.
Task #1857652
