Previously, the test runner would evaluate an expression to check if the
browser test that is about to be run is ready, but before the test is
ready, this expression may be invalid as the variables used in the
expression may not be defined yet, causing a ReferenceError to be thrown
by Chrome.
In Chrome >=102, errors that are thrown when writing code in the console
or by using Runtime.evaluate over CDP are thrown in the context of the
current tab, which means that they trip registered error handlers in
that tab. In Odoo, this means that we show error dialogs with the
traceback.
In the tour manager, when we are looking for an element to trigger, we
only look for that element inside dialogs if there are any dialogs open
(unless the in_dialog option is false on that specific step). This means
that if an error dialog is open, most tours will fail (which is actually
what we want).
In order to avoid opening a bunch of error dialogs while waiting for the
tour to be ready, we simply wrap the ready expression in a try catch so
that it doesn't throw an error, and simply returns a undefined until the
tour is ready instead of throwing a ReferenceError.

In the web client, in a real use case, it's not possible
to write on fields which are invisible,
as it's not possible to write on fields which are readonly.
This is a first step in the goal to change the behavior
of the `groups=` attribute in the back-end views,
to remove them for the view instead of making them invisible.
This is mainly to reduce the diff of the revision that will introduce
the mentioned above behavior change.
As nodes with `groups=` will be removed from the view
when the user doesn't have the group, it's no longer possible
to set a value on a field having a `groups=` the user doesn't have
in the `Form` test class, as the field will no longer be at all in the
view.
However, these unit tests shouldn't have been able to set values
on invisible fields in the first place.
This revision therefore aims to correct the unit tests setting value
on fields which were invisible because the user executing the
test was not part of the required group(s) for these fields
to be visible in the view.

So, before disposing a tooltip we check if there is an instance of a

e.g.:

- BS5 JS use the `data-bs-toggle="dropdown"` attribute to
automatically enable the BS Component.
But in this case as the `.dropdown-menu` is only rendered when the
`.dropdown-toggle` is clicked we can't initialize the Dropdown at the
first render. So we do it manually.
- change .dropdown-menu by .o-dropdown-menu (owl)
-> to handle keyboard navigation we can't use BS dropdowns
- use currentTarget of event
As the event can bubble we use currentTarget to be sure to be at the
higher level in the DOM.
> All the events for the dropdown are now triggered on the dropdown
> toggle button and then bubbled up to the parent element.
- BS5 don't add .show on parent group anymore
-> dropdown show class not on the same node on BS5
- avoid dropdown warning using margin in CSS
BS5 show a warning if we use margin statically in CSS for a dropdown.
> Popper: CSS "margin" styles cannot be used to apply padding between
> the popper and its reference element or boundary. To replicate margin,
> use the `offset` modifier, as well as the `padding` option in the
> `preventOverflow` and `flip` modifiers.
- adapt the systray activity dropdown for mobile
On desktop positions are now dynamic and on mobile it's static
- In BS5 the CSS `bottom: 100%;` is not more applied to the
`.dropup .dropdown-menu` selector.

This rule generate unwanted border in our visual, so we change the color
to the old one we have in BS4 and in some case set the `border-top` to
´none´.
PS: another solution is to use the `table-borderless` class, but then
we have `tr` flickering for the height in list view (edit mode).

the background color is set with the `background-color` property

- by default, show is not the default

- generic close button for dismissing content like modals and alerts.
- BS5 modals needs `modal-dialog` class to work
- normally we need also to add `modal-content` class but as the original

we add `pointer-events: auto` for all children `DIV` of `modal-dialog`

Since #91909, the settings form view is tested with different levels
of access rights, post install.
But when the test is run with only the base module, it crashes because
the settings view specified in base is empty, without any field.
On save, the test form reads the view fields, but read fallbacks on
all fields if no field is specified, and it breaks when we try to
compare the read results to the fields requested (empty).

Before this commit, `<t t-set/>` nodes declared outside the main
div of a kanban card where ignored by the kanban compiler. This
commit fixes that issue. To do so, we refactor a bit the way the
compiler and KanbanRecord handle multiple root cards (typically,
several roots with a t-if/t-elif/t-else, s.t. there's a unique
rendered root), by removing the faulty logic from the compiler
that identified card root nodes (and filtered out t-set nodes),
and introducing a div for the KanbanRecord component on which we
can set classNames, attributes and handlers.
The issue could be observed on the Apps kanban view, as it
displayed the "Install" button, whether the app was already

In module mail, invalidating 'message_ids' on a mail thread also
invalidates its inverse field 'res_id' on messages. If you haven't
flushed it before, your cache will be inconsistent, as shown by the test
/mail:TestMailgateway.test_message_process_bounce_records_channel.
In module purchase_stock, add depends on report.stock.quantity. This
ensures that when the model is queried after changes in other models,
the data on which the SQL view depends is flushed to the database before
querying that model's table.

Because method _read() no longer updates existing values in memory,
those values in memory must be consistent with the database.
On the other hand, if pending updates are not performed on the database
before fetching values, it means that the corresponding database values
cannot be put in cache. This implies that one cannot empty the cache
without flushing the corresponding fields.
In order to avoid mistakes, flush automatically before invalidating the
cache. This makes the invalidation methods safe by default, and avoids
cargo-culting which would systematically associate invalidation to
flushing, which may eventually be less performant.
Part-of: odoo/odoo#66938
The idea is to avoid flushing the fields to fetch in method _read().
This delays UPDATE queries, and makes the prefetching mechanism simpler
and more effective.
We do this by not overwriting the cache values by the values fetched
from database. This simple idea allows to fetch more fields and more
records without having to care about pending computations and updates.
But it requires the cache consistency to be much more strict, because
nothing will "fix" the cache inconsistencies "by chance". And it also
requires pending updates to be present in cache.
Part-of: odoo/odoo#66938
Move the definition of class Query to odoo.tools, in order to avoid

Also reorganize imports in the impacted modules.
Part-of: odoo/odoo#66938
Odoo Editor uses chai/mocha for testing. Since it was moved into Odoo,

thing applies to DOMPurify.
Part-of: odoo/odoo#94516
It allows to always have a OdooResponse Object and don't allow redirect
to external except when you allow it explicitly with local=False.
Always return to a local url:
/website/add
/slides/slide/<model("slide.slide"):slide>
/microsoft_outlook/confirm
Allow previously external redirect without reason, now blocked
/website/lang/<lang> -> open redirect
Allow external redirect for good reason and url is controlled by code.
/social_facebook/redirect_to_profile/
PS: HTTP Code 303 is a better default for generic redirects. It's not
historically the default for werkzeug.utils, but it is what we want in
general. Contrary to 302, there is no browser-dependent behavior, and
no risk of asking the user whether they want to accept the redirect if
the original method wasn't GET. It's always a non-permanent GET on the
target location.

As clear_cache() is no longer invoked on ormcached methods, we can

Each manual can end up with an xml_id from a standard module:
the original module of the model
A standard module should never create a manual field so we can consider
they should be counted unless they match the criteria of the first

should be odoo/studio and not the name of the standard module

Using `./odoo-bin` to start Odoo, the addons path can contain a `~`, eg
`~/Documents/whatever`.
Those `~` are accepted and work both with the `--addons-path` passed as
the command argument, or in the `.odoorc` config file.
The `@standalone` tests (launched with `./test_module_operations.py`)
however did not work with that `~` as the path was not "normalized".
Neither a `~` in the config file or in the `--addons-path` argument were
working.
While it is not very critical, it is a nice to have to have the same
behavior as the `./odoo-bin` as this made me lose quite some time
figuring why I couldn't use my usual `design-themes` repo addons path.

Consider two models A and B, a many2many field F from A to B and its
inverse relation G from B to A. When F is modified, G is updated
accordingly in cache. The statement
records.write({F: [Command.link(b.id)]})
is expected to add b.id to records.F, and add records.ids to b.G. In
order to avoid nondeterminism, the additions should be done at the end
of the recordset, and in order. In other words, if none of "records"
are in b.G, then after the statement above, b.G should be updated as
b.G = b.G + records
This patch ensures that "records" are added in order.

A new client action is introduced, to display the website in an iframe.
This allows to remove the "frontend" Odoo UI entirely. Everything
related to the website configuration (and especially the edit mode) will
now be done on the backend side.
The idea behind this mainly comes from the fact that we needed the
website in an iframe during edition to be able to render a mobile
preview properly. It was also required so that options which reloads
the page... are able to only reload the page and not the entire editor
with it. From there, it was decided that actually, since the website is
in an iframe, it could be in the backend and every website UI could
rely on this.
In the end, this comes with many functional and technical advantages.
Here are some of them (a few of them are not entirely done with this
merge but will follow the merge in the upcoming weeks, see this as a
non-exhaustive list of possibilities that are unlocked by this work):
Technical:
- No duplicated logic for website UI and backend (purple navbar is the
backend one, slightly customized).
- No conflicting logic for website UI and website content (like dialog
opening, ...).
- No forced CSS for our website / web_editor UI, no conflict with
website themes.
- Everything converted in OWL, in backend code (no special OWL for
frontend).
- "Legacy" code moved as frontend code or removed.
- No website content CSS for the case "when there is the Odoo purple
navbar at the top".
- Backend views & features available (e.g. creating a new event -> form
view instead of custom code with onchanges, validations, etc)
Functional:
- All website features available while editing your website (product
configuration, settings, etc), no switch backend/frontend, no
redirection, no reload (just the iframe).
- All other app features available while editing your website (discuss,
calendar, all other apps, ...).
- Typing a website URL in your browser reaches your website (very small
Odoo UI overlay at the top left as a connected user).
- Mobile preview: directly resizing the website rendering, in edit mode
too and with a better phone image.
- Editor: mobile view edition (the editor is instanciated around the
website content instead of inside of it (iframe))
- Can reload the website without reloading all the tools (editor, html
editor, menu edition, etc) (customize_show options for instance ->
moved as standard editor options which reloads the website only)
- Website UI in your language instead of website language
On the backend side, some customizations were done so that the UI feels
like it works as before (note that it will be reworked in upcoming weeks):
- A `website_systray` registry is defined to replace the systray items
with the website's one when previewing the website.
- The webclient's navbar is patched to display additional dropdown menus
related to the website edition.
- A website service that holds the global state of the website is
introduced. Components from the systray and the dropdown menus can
access and modify it.
- A component adapter for the wysiwyg (that will display the snippets
menu) is added, that allows for caching the wysiwyg libraries, thus
improving editions responsiveness.
See sub-commits for details. This work is known to not be bug-free and
will be bug-fixed, improved and reworked in the upcoming weeks.
