In order for the user to understand what the chat_input_placeholder
field means we should add a tooltip.
We should reorganize the fields in order to put them in logical order.
This commit is related to task 1837812.
Closes#24336
The reified view on the res users will be dropped in the following commit.
The previous commit adds support to define each group as a computed field on the res users.
This commit defines:
- A boolean field for each 'isolated' res.group, i.e. a group in the hidden category.
- A selection field for each 'Application' res.group, i.e. a group in a application category.
Example:
- The group to manage pricelist in sales becomes a boolean field
- The groups project user/manager become a selection field
Revision on https://github.com/odoo/odoo/commit/a87d761fdbf345ada5dc93e0a686b08a0f5a0417
There was an issue with the nocontent helper of im_livechat channels where two paragraphs
were shown instead of a single one.
This was due to a typo where the paragraph was decorated with another paragraph tag.
The commit above tried to fix the issue by not decorating the static help with a paragraph,
since it already contains a paragraph. However, the fix introduced some dead code, so that
this overridden method has no purpose (it simply calls `super`).
This commit removes the overridden method, which preserves the current and correct behaviour.
For objects inherting from rating.mixin, when their parent model change
(e.i.: task from a project to another), the "Parent document name" does
not change. The rating is still considered belonging to the old parent
object (rating stat of project is not correct).
Change the rating API. In rating mixin, instead of having 2 methods
returning parent id and parent model (rating_get_parent_id and
rating_get_parent_model_name), we should have one method returning the
'parent relation field' (inevitably m2o field). Then we can deduce its
parent_res_id/parent_res_model, and check this parent field is in values
of write to trigger the recompute of parent_res_name.
Also, add "ondelete=cascade" on parent_res_model_id
Impacted modules: project, rating, helpdesk, livechat
We would like to make the "no item found" screens more appealing.
Before this commit, it shows a small help tip in the top-left
corner of the screen, just below the "Create" button.
With this commit, these help tips have been replaced by onboarding
screens, which consist of a picture and some text below, both of which
are horizontally centered.
The texts have been slightly changed, so that they are shorter and clearer.

Now that we're closer to switching to P3 for good, these helpers have
outlived their usefulness, and mostly add noise.
All remaining dict.iter*() or dict.view*() must be converted to the
normal keys(), values() or items() calls.
Whenever the result is likely to be used for more than the scope of a
loop, or when the dict needs to be modified during iteration, the calls
must be wrapped in a ``list()``, to protect the new P3 semantics.
Those cases are very exceptional.
Also removed some dead code or improved the API to remove unnecessary
conversions.
* StringIO removed from stdlib, replace with io
* try to correctly handle BytesIO/StringIO (one is for bytes the other
is for text)
* fix base64: Python 3 removed bytes-encoding and bytes-bytes
codecs (via #encode) so replace all calls to str.encode('base64'),
also b64encode is a bytes->bytes conversion so attempt to properly
handle that
issue #8530
This commit display rating on kanban card
of livechat channel, in order to directly
jump on the kanban rating used to compute
the customer satisfaction on the last 7 days.
Default filters are used.
A reporting menu entry is also added to have
access to global livechat satifaction reporting
with graph and pivot views.
This commit provide a parenting system for rated
record, such as mail alias.
For instance, 'project.project' is the parent of
task and issue objects.
This will allow to have a global view of customer
statisfaction on 'parent' objects (project and
livechat channel for now).
To do so, the rating
mixin provides 2 methods that need to be
overriden: `rating_get_parent_model_name` and
`rating_get_parent_id`.
In Python 3:
* various builtins and dict methods were changed to return
view/iterable objects rather than lists
* and the separate Python 2 view/iterable builtins and methods were
removed altogether
This is problematic when using these items as list (which the happens
repeatedly in Odoo), but more viciously when iterating *multiple times*
over them (which also happens, which I've messed up multiple times while
writing this, and which is a pain to debug even when you've just created
the issue).
Convert all code using these to semantics-matching cross-version
helper functions to get the LCD behaviour between P2 and P3, and
forbid the builtins via lint.
issue #8530
Public users (website visitors) do not need to be part of
a livechat channel to talk with the operator, they are using
a dedicated mechanism.
Explicitly including them is redundant and bloats the database.
this commit introduces the '/history' command
for an operator during a livechat session.
When the visitor load a page, its url is added in
a cookie (kept only 1 day) in order to track his
visited web pages.
The '/history' command will ask the cookie content
and send it to the operator as a transient message
in the livechat channel.
Otherwise recomputation may fail with "record does not exist or has been
deleted" when creating records with a value directly set for e.g.
'image_mediun' on a new product.
The issue comes from the storage of the images. When creating a product, the
creation of an attachment for storing the field `image_medium` triggers the
recomputation of that field before its dependency `image` is set. As `image`
is initially null, `image_medium` is recomputed as null, and this deletes the
attachment just created before the latter has completed its creation! As a
consequence, some code at the end of `create` for the attachment crashes
because the record has been deleted.
The following models have been fixed: `fleet.vehicle.model.brand`,
`hr.employee`, `im_livechat.channel`, `mail.channel`, `payment.acquirer`,
`pos.category`, `product.template`, `product.public.category`, `res.partner`.

Closes#11516
Add a dummy 'match_rules()' function for backward-compatibility of commit
d8605b79, as 'match_rules()' was called from server-side 'im_livechat.loader'
template.
Since rev. 100d604, the web.session module is always loaded in external pages,
even if no operator is available. Thus, server_url should always be computed.
This reverts commit a8239cd as the navbar dropdown recently introduced now
offers a quick access to channels without coming back in the Discuss App.
Moreover, this commit emphasizes the notifications navbar icon when there are
unread messages (or at least, it mutes it when there isn't).
should be the length of the recordset of connected users, not the recordset
itself, which is always evaluated as True (thus, the im_livechat script was
always embedded in the html pages).
The problem was that the matching rule was evaluated before sending the html
page, and the script was inserted in the page according to the matching rule
(it wasn't inserted if the rule was 'hide_button'). However, the matching rule
wasn't re-evaluated if the page was already in the cache. The page content thus
might depend on a matching rule computed for someone else in that case.
Rather than inserting the script according to the matching rule, we insert it
only if there is an operator available. We then ask for the matching rule in
the livechat widget, by RPC, and we reject its willStart deferred if the rule
says so. We also re-check for operator availability in the same RPC.
The problem was that, when calling 'match_rules()' from the loader template,
we compared the wrong url with the url regexp defined in rules. Indeed, we used
the url of the page we were leaving, not the one we were going to.
We thus need to know if we are coming from the controller, or from the loader
template directly as the way to get the correct url differs.

- Don't display livechat button if no operator available
- Livechat windows persistence through website pages
- Auto popup feature re-introduced (inadvertently removed at rev. f23f57cc)
- Operators that are 'away' are available, as 'away' means that the focus isn't
on the Odoo tab for at least 10 minutes, but the user is still connected.
- Avoid duplicated messages when the visitor is a connected user
- Unfold livechat window on first 'close' click as the event is intercepted to
ask the user feedback before actually closing the window
The 'cron_remove_empty_session' is performed every day and removes livechat
channels that contain no message.
The problem was that the cron might have been executed between the moment a
public user clicked on the livechat button, creating a new empty channel, and
the moment this user sent the first message through that channel. If that
happenned, the message was sent in an unexisting channel, and obviously never
received by the operator.
This fix makes sure that removed empty channels haven't been created or
modified within the last hour.
