Before this commit, the payment providers (e.g., Stripe, Adyen...)
available for payment were displayed on the payment forms. The customer
had to select one to process their payment. After that, the customer had
to select their preferred payment method (e.g., Credit Card,
Bancontact...) from a list of payment methods supported by the selected
provider over which the website administrator had close to no control.
This was making the payment forms confusing because the payment methods
were displayed sometimes more than once, if at all, in a non-controlled
order, and behind the selection of a payment provider that customers
should not have to deal with.
As the payment method was selected in an iframe or directly on the
provider's website, the information on the selection payment method was
not available in Odoo. This posed many problems, among which were the
impossibility of assessing whether a specific feature (e.g.,
tokenization, refunds, manual capture...) was available, not being able
to easily identify payment tokens through the payment method logo,
listing available payment methods on the website, sorting and
fine-grained configuration of the available payment method, subpar
payment method-specific display on the payment form (e.g., PayPal that
requires displaying a "Pay with PayPal" button), etc.
In this commit, the payment providers are thus replaced by the payment
methods on the payment forms. All contextually available (depending on
the country, currency, requested feature...) payment methods are
displayed one after the other on a single-level list and in the order
configured by the website administrator. Each payment method is
"powered by" (i.e., linked) to a single payment provider: the first one,
by model order, to support it. This allows, for example, offering the
PayPal payment method through Mollie, which charges low processing fees,
while also offering Klarna through Stripe, which supports more payment
methods but charges higher processing fees.
While doing so, the two different payment forms, "Checkout" and
"Manage", are also merged together in a new, configurable case-by-case,
payment form that is entirely redesigned to offer a better user
experience.
After payment, the information on the selected payment method is saved
on the transaction and eventual payment record and updated with the
information received from the provider.

The "fees" or "extra fees" or "customer fees" feature was meant to make
customers pay for the processing fee charged by the payment provider
they choose to make their payment. The fee was also displayed on the
payment form to deter customers and encourage them to choose another,
cheaper, payment provider.
In practice, it didn't hold up because:
1. the provider's API must allow sending the fee as a separate amount,
and PayPal was the only supported provider to do it;
2. charging extra fees is highly discouraged by providers, and forbidden
in Europe;
3. the final fee amount depends on the customer, country, payment
method, risk profile... rendering charging the actual fees amount
infeasible;
4. most of the time, only one payment provider is enabled at a time,
thus alienating customers who would have no other choice than paying
the fee;

The names of snippet blocks are not translatable because their name is
obtained from a their template name which is not a translatable item.
For markets that use a non-latin alphabet this is a no go.
This commit makes it possible to specify a `string` attribute in the

The aim of this commit is to simplify and standardize the settings archs.
To do this, a small DSL exclusively for the settings was created. This
new DSL introduces 3 tags: `app`, `block` and `setting`.
The `app` tag is used to declare the application on the settings view.
It creates an entry with its logo on the sidebar of the view. It also
acts as delimiter when searching.
```xml
<app string="CRM" name="crm">
...
</app>
```
- `string` : The "display" name of the application.
- `name` : The technical name of the application (the name of the module).
- `logo` *optional* : The relative path to the logo. If not set, the
logo is created using the `name` parameter :
`/{name}/static/description/icon.png`.
The `block` tag is used to declare a group of settings. This group can
have a title and a description/help.
```xml
<block title="Title of group Bar">
...
</block>
```
- `title` *optional* : The title of the block of settings (the old h2),
you can perform research on its text.
- `help` *optional* : The description/help of the block of settings
(the old h3), you can perform research on its text.
The `setting` tag is used to declare the setting itself. The first field
in the setting is used as the main field (optional). This field is
placed on the left panel (if it's a boolean field) or on the top of the
right panel (otherwise). The field is also used to create the setting
label if a `string` is not defined. The `setting` tag can also contain
more elements (e.g. html), all of these elements are rendered in the
right panel.
```xml
<setting string="this is bar">
<field name="bar"/>
...More elements
</setting>
```
- `type` *optional* : By default, a setting is visually separated on two
panels (left and right), and is used to edit a given field. By
defining `type='header'`, a special kind of setting is rendered
instead. This setting is used to modify the scope of the other
settings. For example, on the website application, this setting
is used to indicate to which website the other settings apply.
The header setting is visually represented as a yellow banner on
the top of the screen.
- `string` *optional* : The text used as label of the setting. If it's
not defined, the first field is used as label.
- `title` *optional* : The text used as tooltip.
- `help` *optional* : The help/description of the setting. This text is
displayed just below the setting label (with classname
`text-muted`).
- `company_dependent` *optional* : If this attribute is set to "1" an
icon is displayed next to the setting label to explicit that
this setting is company-specific.
- `documentation` *optional* : If this attribute is set, an icon is
added next to the setting label, this icon is a link to the
documentation. Note that you can use relative or absolute path.
The relative path is relative to
`https://www.odoo.com/documentation/server_version`, so it's not
necessary to hard-code the server version on the arch anymore.

As a stable fix, to not touch XML templates and break existing
translations, the ⌙ character was automatically replaced by └ which
makes more sense for the usecase and should work properly in all
browsers. The ⌙ character is actually rendered mirrored on Windows 11
Chrome (and others) as the font used for those unicode characters is
left to the browser. We could force a font of our own but it's probably
not worth it.
A better solution with a SVG or CSS solution has to be done in master.
That would unify the look of the symbol across all browsers and
also prevent special characters to be placed in translations.
With this forward-port commit, we'll start first by using └ via a CSS
rule. Three new classes have been created: o_we_sublevel_1,
o_we_sublevel_2 and o_we_sublevel_3. Adding any of them on a widget
automatically adds the └ character. Then choosing 1, 2 or 3 controls
the indentation, which was previously controlled by placing the
HTML entity directly inside strings.
This commit also takes the opportunity to fix some of those level
indentations (sometimes 2 was used instead of 1 or 1 was used instead of
2, etc) and also review some related labels.

When an unsafe snippet is dropped into a sanitized HTML model field, its
unsafe content gets removed on save.
We need a way to mark snippets as being (in)compatible with
sanitization. It cannot be automatic, as, for example, the snippet
introduced at [1] contains an iframe but is compatible with
sanitization.
In 13.0, we will temporarily set up an automatic mechanism that marks
existing snippets containing forms as being incompatible with
sanitization.
In 14.0 a distinction between full sanitization and form-tolerant
sanitization introduced at [2] is added with this forward-ported commit.
This commit prevents unsafe snippets from being dropped into sanitized
HTML model fields.
The "Form Builder", "Product Search" and "Product Search Input" blocks
are now prevented from being dropped or moved into form-sanitized HTML
fields.
To do this, this commit introduces a new `t-forbid-sanitize` attribute
on the `t-snippet` tag. It can have the value `true` to prevent it from
being dropped into any sanitize fields, or `form` to specifically limit
to form-sanitized fields.
Steps to reproduce (in 13.0):
- Go to a product page
- Drop a "Product Search" snippet into the product-specific section of
the
product
- Save
=> The form was removed.

* restore position relative:
> Columns no longer have position: relative applied, so you may have to
> add .position-relative to some elements to restore that behavior.
https://getbootstrap.com/docs/5.1/migration/#grid-updates
Example:
Favorite widget isn't shown on the right location due to change
in Boostrap 5, so we restore the old positioning of the `.col`
PS: another fix is to simply remove the position absolute of
`.o_favorite` but its break the favorite in kanban project.
* remove usage of `width` in kanban image when `col` is also used:
The class `o_kanban_image` is
```css
.o_kanban_image {
width: 64px;
}
```
In BS4 the col rules are:
```css
.col-4 {
flex: 0 0 33.33333333%;
max-width: 33.33333333%;
}
```
and in BS5:
```css
.col-4 {
-webkit-box-flex: 0;
-webkit-flex: 0 0 auto;
flex: 0 0 auto;
width: 33.33333333%;
}
```
So `width` overrides the `col` rules.
To summarize:
In BS4
```css
{
max-width: 33.33333333%;
width: 64px;
}
```
In BS5
```css
{
width: 33.33333333%;
width: 64px;
}
```

Previously, customizing the website footer was not very easy. This
commit will allow users to customize the footer like any other
snippet area.
There are several behavior changes, as mentioned below:
- Removed toggles 'Automatic Footer' and 'Payment Icons' from the
Customize menu
- Language Selector was moved near the 'Copyright' section of the footer
and features a dropdown (dropup technically) to select the language
- Moved some footer links from various modules to top menu
List of the added menus / changed menus:
(a) Resellers (new menu for previous footer link 'Resellers')
(b) References (new menu for previous footer link 'Our References')
(c) Forums (renamed from 'Forum', as a replacement of 'Forums'
footer link, showing all the forums instead of 'Help', as there
is no link available to all forums after this commit)
(d) Live Support (new menu for previous footer link
'Livechat Support')
(e) Mailing Lists (new menu for previous footer link 'Mailing List')
(f) Members (new menu for previous footer link 'Members')
- Links which were already available as a website menus (Presentations,
Jobs, Events, News, Documentation, etc) are simply removed
Technical Notes:
- Introduced a new template called 'brand_promotion' in website.
This will help to avoid adding redundant footer content (like
copyright, language selector etc) from several modules (website_sale,
website_event, website_quote, etc) while the only intention is to
replace module page links.
- Removed summernote related fix in portal.less (caused by xpath)
because footer is now customizable and added padding to structure
instead of footer itself so that bg-color/img can be applied on
whole footer.
- Few of the tours are improved to drag and drop snippets at proper
places and not inside the footer.
- Used Flex in copyright portion of footer, so that text will always be
horizontally centered (Some themes have different padding for buttons,
etc, so if we don't align text dynamically, it has to be managed in
particular theme and in particular layouts like full-screen / boxed.
And if someone changes height of this portion, we have to re-design
this portion again, etc).

- Introducing a new payment form that handles payment, deletion and adding payment method (only for server2server for the moment).
- On /my/payment_method, changed strings 'Payment Acquirers' to 'Payment Methods' which is more clear.
- Stripe can now be used to pay subscriptions.

This commit moves the whole customer portal to the portal module.
It now completely uses portal and http_routing features and is not
dependent on website anymore.
