As a stable fix, to not touch XML templates and break existing
translations, the ⌙ character was automatically replaced by └ which
makes more sense for the usecase and should work properly in all
browsers. The ⌙ character is actually rendered mirrored on Windows 11
Chrome (and others) as the font used for those unicode characters is
left to the browser. We could force a font of our own but it's probably
not worth it.
A better solution with a SVG or CSS solution has to be done in master.
That would unify the look of the symbol across all browsers and
also prevent special characters to be placed in translations.
With this forward-port commit, we'll start first by using └ via a CSS
rule. Three new classes have been created: o_we_sublevel_1,
o_we_sublevel_2 and o_we_sublevel_3. Adding any of them on a widget
automatically adds the └ character. Then choosing 1, 2 or 3 controls
the indentation, which was previously controlled by placing the
HTML entity directly inside strings.
This commit also takes the opportunity to fix some of those level
indentations (sometimes 2 was used instead of 1 or 1 was used instead of
2, etc) and also review some related labels.

Setting transformations on images is handled by the jQuery transfo
plugin. This plugin, however, also manipulates animations related css
properties allowing the plugin to work on animated images.
After closing the transformation tools these properties stay in the DOM,
preventing the animation options to work properly. Animations are not
played when previewing or selecting a choice from the dropdown list.
Instead they remain stuck in their initial keyframe.
To avoid complications from the interaction between both options, this
commit hides either option when the other is activated. Additionally,
css properties added by the transform option are cleaned, avoiding
potential interactions after the transform option is reset again.

This commit adds an 'Add To cart' snippet to the 'Web Editor'.
The snippet works as follow:
1. You choose the `product template` that you wish your users to buy.
2. If the product has more than 1 `variant`, a widget will offer you to either
let the visitor choose - this will open a modal for him to choose the variant
by himself - or select a variant yourself.
3. if `visitor choice` is not selected, a `buy_now` or `add_to_cart` action can
be configured; this will determine the behaviour of the button after the user
clicks it.

When an unsafe snippet is dropped into a sanitized HTML model field, its
unsafe content gets removed on save.
We need a way to mark snippets as being (in)compatible with
sanitization. It cannot be automatic, as, for example, the snippet
introduced at [1] contains an iframe but is compatible with
sanitization.
In 13.0, we will temporarily set up an automatic mechanism that marks
existing snippets containing forms as being incompatible with
sanitization.
In 14.0 a distinction between full sanitization and form-tolerant
sanitization introduced at [2] is added with this forward-ported commit.
This commit prevents unsafe snippets from being dropped into sanitized
HTML model fields.
The "Form Builder", "Product Search" and "Product Search Input" blocks
are now prevented from being dropped or moved into form-sanitized HTML
fields.
To do this, this commit introduces a new `t-forbid-sanitize` attribute
on the `t-snippet` tag. It can have the value `true` to prevent it from
being dropped into any sanitize fields, or `form` to specifically limit
to form-sanitized fields.
Steps to reproduce (in 13.0):
- Go to a product page
- Drop a "Product Search" snippet into the product-specific section of
the
product
- Save
=> The form was removed.

Since this commit [1], when you select the Header position option and
set it to "Over The Content", the change is not saved if you did not
edit something else in the page too.
Indeed, now that the "save" works correctly (and that it no longer saves
the page every time). It does not detect the change made by this option
which is to add a class on the '#wrapwrap' element. (The editor looks
for changes inside the wrapwrap but not on it).
This commit checks if any page option is dirty on save on top of
checking if the content of the page has been modified.
Additionally, this commit fixes a bug that would occur on Firefox based
browsers where the hidden input used to display the status of these
options would be auto-completed by the browser in some conditions.
(https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=520561).
This could result in an incorrect state being displayed.
To reproduce:
- Change the option, click on cancel, start the editor
- the incorrect state is displayed
A test is also added by this commit to verify that all the page options
works correctly.

Part-of: odoo/odoo#94949
==== Short version ====
Google is deprecating Universal Analytics in July 2023 and Google
Sign-In in March 2023. Google Analytics Embed API is based on Sign-In,
meaning it won't work anymore. It actually already doesn't work anymore
for accounts created somewhere after mid-2020 apparently.
There is no plan for now for Google to allow Analytics 4 dashboard to be
embed in external website.
We therefore can't do anything to keep the Google Analytics dashboard in
Odoo.
In previous stable version, it was kept but is displaying a warning
about it (as until mid 2023 old accounts can still embed it).
All this is about the embed dashboard, not the tracking in itself for
which Odoo is already adapted in Odoo 15.0 for Analytics 4.
==== Detailed version (following short version, read it first) ====
- Universal Analytics EOL July 2023, see [1].
- It will be replaced by Analytics 4 for which Odoo is already ready and
actually using it since version 15.0 with [2].
- Google Sign-In EOL March 2023, see [3]. Analytics Embed API was based
on it, it won't work anymore.
- There is no plan (for now) for Google to allow Analytics 4 to be able
to be embed in external websites. They seem to just have dropped the
"feature".
This was confirmed by Google here [4] and indirectly here [5] in the
DOC:
`Note: This API does not support Google Analytics 4 (GA4) properties`
- While the EOL is planed for 2023, the dashboard integration is already
not working anymore for new accounts.
- Old projects/keys/accounts can still embed their analytics dashboard.
The threshold seems to be somewhere mid-2020, according to [6].
It seems to be accurate as my own key from 2018 still works, while my
keys from 2021 do not.
==== Fix ====
- In stable, warn user about it in their Odoo Analytics dashboard (this
PR) and also add a warning about that on the doc.
- In master, simply drop the whole google analytics dashboard
integration and remove the doc about it, see [7].

Finally, note that it means that from July 2023 to Octobre 2023, while
Odoo 14.0 is still supported, Google Analytics won't work anymore in
that version as it will still be designed for Universal Analytics and
not Analytics 4.

* restore position relative:
> Columns no longer have position: relative applied, so you may have to
> add .position-relative to some elements to restore that behavior.
https://getbootstrap.com/docs/5.1/migration/#grid-updates
Example:
Favorite widget isn't shown on the right location due to change
in Boostrap 5, so we restore the old positioning of the `.col`
PS: another fix is to simply remove the position absolute of
`.o_favorite` but its break the favorite in kanban project.
* remove usage of `width` in kanban image when `col` is also used:
The class `o_kanban_image` is
```css
.o_kanban_image {
width: 64px;
}
```
In BS4 the col rules are:
```css
.col-4 {
flex: 0 0 33.33333333%;
max-width: 33.33333333%;
}
```
and in BS5:
```css
.col-4 {
-webkit-box-flex: 0;
-webkit-flex: 0 0 auto;
flex: 0 0 auto;
width: 33.33333333%;
}
```
So `width` overrides the `col` rules.
To summarize:
In BS4
```css
{
max-width: 33.33333333%;
width: 64px;
}
```
In BS5
```css
{
width: 33.33333333%;
width: 64px;
}
```

Commit [1] made a mistake of copy/pasting the "list_website_pages" ID in
two views related to the "search in everything" and "search in pages"
views (used when checking all results after a search using the "search"
snippet that you can configure to search in everything or in pages).
At the time, that ID induced some CSS rules and JS related to the page
manager (not made for visitors).
- For the "search in everything" page, both the CSS rules and JS had no
effect (except instantiating an useless widget in JS).
- For the "search in pages" page, the JS had no effect (except the same
instantiation of an useless widget) but the CSS had an impact on the
`<table>` used to display the results:
- The header used an hardcoded odoo-purple background color.
- The table paddings were not the ones defined by the theme.
Of course, in custos, more of the CSS could have had an impact (for
example some icons would use bootstrap blue info color by default for
no apparent reason).
Since [2], the page manager was removed (converted into a backend view)
so the CSS and JS rules actually became totally useless. The JS was
removed with [2] but the CSS was kept thinking it was necessary for the
"search in everything" and "search in pages" pages.
This commit removes the useless CSS and the useless ID in the two views.
It also modifies the "search in pages" layout a bit.
A fix could be made in stable later on to at least remove the hardcoded
odoo-purple background color in the "search in pages" page. The rest
should stay as per-stable policy.

As result of moving the "website into the backend" [1], two new entries
have been added in the user-dropdown: one that redirects to the
backend ("Apps") and another one to edit the current page ("Configure
this page").
This commit removes the one to edit, since the same action it's already
in the floating nav (.o_frontend_to_backend_nav) and keeping two
actions would have be redundant.
For the same reason the "Apps" one could have been removed too, but it
has been decided to keep it to ease lambda users' efforts to find their
way to the backend.
This commit refines the design too, adding icons for all entries and
adapting the user-dropdown layout.

This commit fixes two issues related to the loading the wysiwyg and
editor assets.
The media dialog components are now defined in a new assets_media_dialog
bundle, to make them available both in the frontend (needed to post
comments on the forum for example), and in the backend (used in the
context of the wysiwyg edition or in the seo dialog). Ideally, The media
dialog component would lazy load its own bundle, but right now, it is
not possible when used in a ComponentWrapper.
The wysiwyg assets are now completely loaded in the frontend, after
creating the website root, when the frontend is displayed in an iframe.
It would be better if the frontend loads only what it needs of the
wysiwyg assets (some editor classes and the drop zones css), an
improvement would be to create an assets_wysiwyg_frontend or
assets_wysiwyg_minimal bundle.
The website edition components are moved to the assets_editor bundle.
For now, this bundle is included in the backend and the edition menus
are hidden from the users that are not website publishers. Ideally, the
client action would lazy load the assets_editor, only if the user is a
website publisher.
Many optimizations regarding assets will be done post-merge.

The goal of this commit is to adapt the website HTML/CSS/JS editor using
a 'ComponentAdapter' to website backend.
Since we reload the iframe only after editing resources, the

With the website edition UI moved to the backend, it makes also sense to
move the configurator to the backend, as a client action, so that it is
easy to trigger it after installing a website (or the website module),
and returning to the website_preview client action after having
completed it.
This commit adds a new color_palettes.scss file, added in the
assets_backend, that will print the values of the color palettes (so
that some js can handle it). For now, it is needed for the configurator
and the editor. It will probably need to be reviewed later to not put
everything in backend assets.

This commit does 3 things:
- Adapt existing code so that the editor can be run outside of its
editing element. Prior to this commit, it was expected that the
editor would be attached to the element it was currently editing.
This needs to change however as the editable is now inside an
iframe for the website edition. mass_mailing already had a similar
approach but the editor was started within the iframe.
With these changes, the editor is alongside the iframe, editing
the content that's inside it. This allows multiple features
such as reloading the iframe while keeping the editor visible and
resizing the iframe for a mobile preview.
- Adds logic to the wysiwyg_adapter so that it can undertake
the duty of the previous widget sytem. The wysiwyg existed not only
in the legacy widget system, but most importantly in the frontend.
One of the duties of this adapter is to send events inside the
iframe when it is necessary to reach the frontend public widget
(i.e. widgets_start_request)
- Removes existing SCSS that is no longer used.

For bugfix purposes, app administration groups have been given to
(implied by) the "Settings" group because without those rights,
opening/saving the settings crashed.
1) Do not load hidden view content
This commit uses the conditional inheritance of views
(depending on user groups) to avoid loading unnecessary view
& record content client-side.
This improves performance for admins without the specific application
admin rights, but also fixes the main bugfix problem,
caused by the webclient querying name_get for the records in relational
fields content.
Example:
sale_management adds a res.config.settings field to specify
the default sale.order.template for the current company.
If a 'Settings' user without 'sale.group_sale_manager' opens the
settings, he won't see this setting, but if a default template is
specified for the current company, the webclient will still request
the name_get of this template to the server, because the field
was present in the view, only hidden with a groups attribute.
With this commit change in sale, the field won't be in the view unless
you have the Sale manager group, avoiding the error/traceback/bug.
2) Remove implied application administration groups
Do not force the specific application groups on all 'Settings' user,
they globally do not need those rights, and if they need it, they
can add it to their account themselves.
3) Add a test to make sure settings user are able to manage settings.
4) Enforce 'settings' -> 'access rights' -> 'internal user' groups
As the previous test highlighted some 'false positives' because
it considered a settings user unable to read `crm.team`
and `stock.warehouse` records, we also took the opportunity to enforce
the fact that 'Settings' & 'Access rights' users must be internal users.
It makes no sense for a portal/public user to have access to the
settings, and didn't work anyway.

This works follows [1] which already hid lots of options which were not
supposed to show up on some images. That concerned mainly t-field images
and others. This commit is about media elements (images, icons, ...)
which are editable roots, meaning they carry the branding of the portion
of the view they belong to.
In 14.0, such root media elements were simply not editable. Indeed, the
media tools (which were amongst text tools of summernote) simply did not
show up. With the new editor of 15.0, all media options were converted
as "snippet" options for the website editor. The system being entirely
different, explicit conditions for the options to not appear had to be
made.
Technically, some of those options may work on editable roots. With [2],
the "class" and "style" attributes are savable on such items... unless
they are computed. In the future, we may allow more attributes. The
problem in allowing some options to appear (depending if they work on
a given element) is that it would require:
- knowing which attributes an option modifies (class? style? others?)
- knowing which attributes are computed in the qweb view
We may consider improving all of that in future versions, but in stable,
we decided to simply hide all media options on editable roots.
Theoretically, some non-media options could still appear on non-media
editable root elements and not work... but probably no standard option
matches this case.

issue: The debug-assets didn't work anymore. The t-cache placed on the
header allowing not to redo this one for each rendering did not depend
on the debug mode.

There is 6 main changes in this commit:
1. Using raw SQL Upsert instead of the ORM methods. While raw SQL should
generally be avoided, it makes sense for such a low level behavior which
is impacting every flows.
Indeed, tracking visitors is a generic behavior done on all pages and
controllers. It is important to optimize it to reduce processing time
and SQL Queries.
Benchmark of that change alone:
> Rendering a tracked page improves from ~19.5ms to ~17ms (using `ab`
with 1000 loop) and the requests involved in the tracking process are
reduced from 8 SQL Queries to 3:
- 1 request to upsert the visitor
- 1 request to fetch the visitor data
- 1 request to add the tracking record
2. Adding in that upsert query the `visitor.track` insert, creating both
records in one go, bringing the query count from 3 to 2.
3. Refactoring of the `parent_id` behavior that was introduced in stable
with [1]. The purpose was to keep track of multiple visitor linked to a
same user to merge the tracking together. Especially useful for tracking
a same visitor on different devices (when logged in).
Only one visitor was kept as active, others would be archived and their
tracks would be set/moved to the main partner.
Removing those duplicate visitor was not possible because those archived
duplicated visitor were holding the devices notification push token.
Since [2], those token were moved to their own table, all related to the
main visitor.
We can then now safely remove those duplicate visitors after merging
their track to the main visitor. Thus, the `parent_id` field is no more
useful. Removing it removes a layer of complexity.
Note that thanks to this part, the `active` field can also be removed.
4. Deeper functionnal change, inspired from Plausible: The access_token
is no more stored in a cookie but is the result of a hashing method
based on <IP Adress, User Agent>.
The reason behind that change is that, in an upcoming refactoring,
sessions won't be stored anymore unless absolutely needed (login, add to
cart..). It will also ship a no cookies policy, trying to get rid of all
cookies.
This change is bringing some functional changes:
- Since the IP is included in the hash to generate the token, it means
that:
A. If an anonymous user switch IP (eg from 4G to wifi), it is
considered as a new visitor.
B. If 2 anonymous users with the exact same user agent (same browser,
same browser version, same exact os or phone) are on the same IP,
those will be considered as the same visitor.
- Since the request host is not included in the hash, it means that
visiting a DB from 2 differents URLs (domain and/or ip) on the same
device and same browser will result in a shared visitor.
It shouldn't imply any issue as this is A. not wrong and B. mostly
used for tests.
As all this is only related to non logged in user, it shouldn't be a
real issue as anonymous visitors are not supposed to be meant to be
business critical, even if we use them for "a bit more" than simple
analytics data.
5. The access_token is now replaced by the partner_id once the user logs
in, so:
- We don't need to either search on the partner_id field or the
access_token field (depending if the user is logged in or not), we can
only use the access_token row/field to do both.
- On logout, everything works out of the box as the access_token will be
regenerated since there is no partner_id anymore.
- On login, if an access_token matches the user's partner_id, that
visitor is returned.
If there is no such token, a new visitor is created for that partner_id.
In both 2 cases, tracks are moved to that visitor and the anonymous
visitor is removed.
- We can remove the code that was in charge of checking if the
access_token / visitor cookie was wrong (coming from another user eg,
different user login on same device). Indeed, such collision is not
possible anymore as the access_token automatically match the logged in
user.
- We can remove the code that was in charge of checking if the
access_token / visitor cookie was wrong (coming from a logged in user
while the current visitor is not loggedin). Such collision is not
possible anymore as the access_token is (re)generated as an anonymous
token (hash) when not logged in.
6. There is no more check to prevent a track to be created if there was
already a track for that URL in the last 30 minutes.
While this can easily be re-introduced (one CTE on the upsert), it was
adding ~100ms (from ~20 to ~110ms) to the request on a big database as
Odoo where there is ~100 millions tracks and ~100 millions visitors.
It has been validated that it was not a real issue as it is not
fundamentally wrong. If a visitor visited 20 times a product or a
specific page in that short amount of time, you might want to know that
because the user is most likely interested by it.
Changes (1+2), 3, (4+5) and 6 are all independant from each other and
could have existed on their own.
