The render API was confusing as mixing the access to the report and
the rendering env.
The ambiguity was present for code such as
`report.sudo()._render(record_ids)` where it was not clear if the
`sudo()` is needed to access to `report` or to `record_ids`. For low
priviledge users (such as portal or public), it was common to use
`report.with_user(SUPERUSER_ID)._render(record_ids)`.
This PR changes the render methods signature to be `api.model`. The
`report_ref` can be:
- ir.actions.report external id
- ir.actions.report id
- ir.actions.report recod
- `report_name` value
This will allow to call the report methods with any user and no longer
need to use `with_user(1)` to render reports as public user.

Each cookie binds to a domain name, multiple cookies can be set for the
same name if they are for different domain name. In this case, two
`session_id` cookies were set: (1) the first set right on the opener at
`opener.cookies[...] = ...`, (2) the second set upon inside of
`http.Request._save_session` because the session was rotated upon login.
The problem is that the former cookie (the one set on the opener, the
one *not* rotated) was used instead of the second cookie (the one
holding the registered user) in the subsequent queries. There is a long
comment explaining the same problem inside of
`odoo.tests.common.HttpCase.authenticate`, we used the same solution as
they did inside of `authenticate`: we diched the previous opener.

- new prefix `bs-` for the root CSS variables
As some website snippet relay on these values we need to restore the old
behaviour by setting this prefix to an empty string.
- restore negative margins disabled in BS5 by default
- restore BS4 behaviour for setting element content
Fix some cases when we want to render more than one node on the root
level.
In BS4 the jQuery was using all node but in the jQuery compatibility
layer in BS5 it takes only the first node if the jQuery Element is used
in the function. This hack try to restore the old behaviour wrapping all
element in a DIV element (to be single root node).
PS: this can break some querySelector and some CSS selector if they are
too fragile.
e.g. of element that break before this hack:
Popover content for PaymentPopOver XML in ShowPaymentLineWidget
- restore old value from BS4 and adapt to new value
$table-cell-padding -> $table-cell-padding-x
$table-cell-padding -> $table-cell-padding-y
$table-cell-padding-sm -> $table-cell-padding-x-sm
$table-cell-padding-sm -> $table-cell-padding-y-sm
- restore BS4 smooth-scroll behaviour
- restore `text-X` from BS4 that use text-emphasis-variant
In BS5, to generate the text utilities `test-X` its use BS5 utilities
(See $utilities SCSS variables). To restore the old behaviour we replace
with the custom `text-emphasis-variant` mixin.
See odoo/odoo@e111cfd35e
- restore border and background of table
In `_reboot.scss`, BS5 add `border-style` to all element of a table.
In some case we customize the table with CSS rules (e.g. `listview`),
these rules set a size of border. The mix of all rules made that the
border of the `td` in `tfoot` are visible and make a black line.
- reset block quote Y margin to 0
BS5 add a spacer and we reset that by puttin margin-y 0
- In BS5, border color is linked to the text color in it. We doesn't
want that and we restore the same behavior as un BS4 by putting
border-color in grey.
- restore HR style like in BS4
Since in BS5, the height matter we remove the padding and added into the
margin.
Also, we restore the color of BS4 for the HR tag
> <hr> elements now use height instead of border to better support the
> size attribute. This also enables use of padding utilities to create
> thicker dividers (e.g., <hr class="py-1">).
https://getbootstrap.com/docs/5.1/migration/#content-reboot-etc
- restore old value for grid gutter to avoid calc error
In BS5 `$grid-gutter-width` is set in rem and in BS4 it was in px.
So SCSS compiler generates error when it tries to calc rem and px.
- restore badge, navbar paddings like in BS4
- restore link decoration in frontend (Portal) whiteout website

- BS5 uses native inputs instead of pseudo-element for some
input like checkbox, radio, ...
in BS5 input checkbox don't have "virtual visual" checkbox anymore
(::before), so we remove the relative's rules
- removed `.custom-control` class
- `form-switch` use a new layout system in BS5 we adapt the code to
match the Bootstrap approach (inline SVG).
- In tests, we don't check the exact value of the background as it
change in community/enterprise, and it's difficult to check the value
of an SVG.
- Overflow in progressbar is now hidden.
-> we had to restore it.
- In BS5 margins in forms/inputs has been changed
-> we had to restore it (e.g. 'mb-3')
- .form-group, .form-row, .form-inline
> Dropped form-specific layout classes for our grid system.
> Use our grid and utilities instead of .form-group, .form-row,

* restore position relative:
> Columns no longer have position: relative applied, so you may have to
> add .position-relative to some elements to restore that behavior.
https://getbootstrap.com/docs/5.1/migration/#grid-updates
Example:
Favorite widget isn't shown on the right location due to change
in Boostrap 5, so we restore the old positioning of the `.col`
PS: another fix is to simply remove the position absolute of
`.o_favorite` but its break the favorite in kanban project.
* remove usage of `width` in kanban image when `col` is also used:
The class `o_kanban_image` is
```css
.o_kanban_image {
width: 64px;
}
```
In BS4 the col rules are:
```css
.col-4 {
flex: 0 0 33.33333333%;
max-width: 33.33333333%;
}
```
and in BS5:
```css
.col-4 {
-webkit-box-flex: 0;
-webkit-flex: 0 0 auto;
flex: 0 0 auto;
width: 33.33333333%;
}
```
So `width` overrides the `col` rules.
To summarize:
In BS4
```css
{
max-width: 33.33333333%;
width: 64px;
}
```
In BS5
```css
{
width: 33.33333333%;
width: 64px;
}
```

Helpdesk > Reporting > Customer Ratings (Kanban card)

The logic not identical in BS4 -> BS5
The color contrast system in BS5 relies on WCAG 2.0 contrast algo.
So color-yiq is converted to color-contrast.
Note that there are some "texts/buttons/other visuals" elements
which will not have the same contrast as before.
$yiq-text-dark and $yiq-text-light are respectively replaced with
$color-contrast-dark and $color-contrast-light.
Note that we had to use '$min-contrast-ratio: 2.2' for .o_tag_color_X badge.

As result of moving the "website into the backend" [1], two new entries
have been added in the user-dropdown: one that redirects to the
backend ("Apps") and another one to edit the current page ("Configure
this page").
This commit removes the one to edit, since the same action it's already
in the floating nav (.o_frontend_to_backend_nav) and keeping two
actions would have be redundant.
For the same reason the "Apps" one could have been removed too, but it
has been decided to keep it to ease lambda users' efforts to find their
way to the backend.
This commit refines the design too, adding icons for all entries and
adapting the user-dropdown layout.

A new client action is introduced, to display the website in an iframe.
This allows to remove the "frontend" Odoo UI entirely. Everything
related to the website configuration (and especially the edit mode) will
now be done on the backend side.
The idea behind this mainly comes from the fact that we needed the
website in an iframe during edition to be able to render a mobile
preview properly. It was also required so that options which reloads
the page... are able to only reload the page and not the entire editor
with it. From there, it was decided that actually, since the website is
in an iframe, it could be in the backend and every website UI could
rely on this.
In the end, this comes with many functional and technical advantages.
Here are some of them (a few of them are not entirely done with this
merge but will follow the merge in the upcoming weeks, see this as a
non-exhaustive list of possibilities that are unlocked by this work):
Technical:
- No duplicated logic for website UI and backend (purple navbar is the
backend one, slightly customized).
- No conflicting logic for website UI and website content (like dialog
opening, ...).
- No forced CSS for our website / web_editor UI, no conflict with
website themes.
- Everything converted in OWL, in backend code (no special OWL for
frontend).
- "Legacy" code moved as frontend code or removed.
- No website content CSS for the case "when there is the Odoo purple
navbar at the top".
- Backend views & features available (e.g. creating a new event -> form
view instead of custom code with onchanges, validations, etc)
Functional:
- All website features available while editing your website (product
configuration, settings, etc), no switch backend/frontend, no
redirection, no reload (just the iframe).
- All other app features available while editing your website (discuss,
calendar, all other apps, ...).
- Typing a website URL in your browser reaches your website (very small
Odoo UI overlay at the top left as a connected user).
- Mobile preview: directly resizing the website rendering, in edit mode
too and with a better phone image.
- Editor: mobile view edition (the editor is instanciated around the
website content instead of inside of it (iframe))
- Can reload the website without reloading all the tools (editor, html
editor, menu edition, etc) (customize_show options for instance ->
moved as standard editor options which reloads the website only)
- Website UI in your language instead of website language
On the backend side, some customizations were done so that the UI feels
like it works as before (note that it will be reworked in upcoming weeks):
- A `website_systray` registry is defined to replace the systray items
with the website's one when previewing the website.
- The webclient's navbar is patched to display additional dropdown menus
related to the website edition.
- A website service that holds the global state of the website is
introduced. Components from the systray and the dropdown menus can
access and modify it.
- A component adapter for the wysiwyg (that will display the snippets
menu) is added, that allows for caching the wysiwyg libraries, thus
improving editions responsiveness.
See sub-commits for details. This work is known to not be bug-free and
will be bug-fixed, improved and reworked in the upcoming weeks.

=======
Change all masculine nouns in Odoo's code to neutral nouns (when
possible), making sure that demo data is correctly handled. This is
particularly important since our code is open source, and nowadays lots
of machine learning models are trained on open source repositories.
With this small change we contribute to training more "fair" models, and
teaching models that "employee" or "user" != "he".
This also affects some text visible by the user, hence making it more
inclusive for Odoo users.

A Portal User (PU) cannot edit his contact details once they are logged

Step to reproduce the issue:
- Go to the Contact module
- Create a new contact (as an individual) and link him with a company
- From the newly created contact, click on Action > Grant Portal Access
- Retrieve the registration link of the newly created user by going to
Settings > Users & Companies > Users. You will find the new user when
removing the default Internal Users filter.
- From the Portal main page, go to the contact details and update some
field (e.g. the phone number).
Upon submission, you will get an error related to the edition of the
company_name while no change was done.
Solution: In a previous commit [1], a change was done on the
`company_name` input. This modification changed the JSON that was sent
upon form submission.
Indeed, previously the `company_name` field was not sent (thanks to a
<p>) but now this field is sent, causing an error.
To mimic the <p> behavior and keeping the idea of the first change, the
attribute "disabled" was used in the input, allowing to not send this
field upon form submission.

There were inconsistencies in the calls to `_render`.
* the view context could contain information that misled developers.
Indeed, the context and value of the view are not supposed to be found
in the rendering. Thus by calling `ir.qweb` with the name of the
template, we ensure that there is no unwanted information and in
addition the cache key is that of the name of the template which saves
a query.
* the context used for rendering was modified by a method on
`ir.ui.view`, except this is not information used by this model. There
is now a `_prepare_environment` method residing on `ir.qweb`. This
method allows to modify the value dictionary as well as the context in
which the rendering will be done. This preparation of the data as well
as my security check is done only once per rendering. This also saves
some queries
* Freeze options for rendering were inconsistent. It could be that
options on which rendering depends were not part of the cache key. Thus,
depending on the user who generated the generation of the rendering
function, there was or was not information in the template. For example
for automatic branding. This is no longer possible, because it is the
context that is used. The options serving as a cache key are only
recorded for information (for the profiling system for example). A
simplification of the `ir.qweb.field` models could be made.
The report rendering and call `ir.qweb` instead of `ir.ui.view`.

The implementation seemed buggy as you had to click twice on a rating to
activate the filter; this fixes the problem.
It also improves a bit the interface:
- by allowing to click on another rating directly without having to deactivate
first the current filter
- by replacing "Remove Selection" by a red fa-times
- by adding a spinner on the messages zone while the messages are loading when
the connection is slow (the spinner appears only after half a second if the
server doesn't response in the meantime)
- by setting some minimal heights to avoid seeing the footer moving when
switching from course to review and when changing the star filter (which change
the number of message displayed)
Technical notes:
The double click problem was caused by an update of the view when the rating
filter is changed. When re-clicking on the same rating the view was not
re-rendered and the change (selection) in the view were kept.
To solve that problem we have implemented the selection directly in the view
and the css. As it doesn't rely anymore on changes performed in javascript
in the dom, the re-render of the view after fetching the data from the server
reflect the selection done by the user.

Title text on each other.
Cause:
The custom page_header class (in portal module) override the default
line-height with 2.1 rem (instead of 1.1).
In some themes, the headings tags font-size has been changed with
3.875rem (instead of 2.5rem).
=> font-size is too big regarding the line-height
Solution:
Remove line-height rule.

This commit is the 14th commit of a comprehensive refactor of our HTTP
framework. See odoo/odoo#78857 for complete historic, discussions and
rationnals.
* `request.uid = x` => `request.update_env(user=x)`.
* `request.context = x` => `request.update_env(context=x)`.
* `request.context = dict(request.context, x=y)`
=> `request.update_context(x=y)`.
* `request.cr = None` => `request.cr.close()`.
* `http.mono_db()` => `request.db`.
* `http.dispatch_rpc()` => `service.dispatch_rpc()`.
* `@service.model.check` => `service.model.retrying()`.
* `request.endpoint`
=> `env['ir.http']._match(request.httprequest.path)[0].endpoint`.
* `request.routing_iteration `=> `removed`.
* `request.jsonrequest` => `request.dispatcher.jsonrequest`.
Note that `request.params` is now set much later in the process. If you
are in a situation where you values from the query string or the
http body you can use `request.get_http_params()`.
Note that using the new `request.future_response`, it is possible to
add headers and cookies on the response object before the response
object is initialized. Please note that headers/cookies saved on
the future response will NOT be injected in case of error.

This commit is the 13th commit of a comprehensive refactor of our HTTP
framework. See odoo/odoo#78857 for complete historic, discussions and
rationnals.
Here be dragons.
First and foremost, `http_routing` is a technical module that aim to
provide the minimum viable compatibility code between portal and
website. Its primary job is to take care of the lang inserted in the
path of URLs, e.g. `en` in `/en/my_blog`. Both when routing a request
with a lang in the URL and when rendering templates with multilang
support.
Next to `http_routing` is website, the module used by customers to
create pretty web page accessible online. Website uses a different
routing logic than the backend, webpages are **not** registered in the
routing map of werkzeug but instead delivered by website dedicated
code. It means that **all** request targeting a website page thrown at
the werkzeug router **fail** with a HTTP 404 error. The reality is that
website abuses the fallback mechanism (`_serve_fallback`) to deliver
its pages.
Using `_serve_fallback` as the standard way to deliver pages is broken
by design. It is the least crappy way to deliver content as long as
website page don't have a dedicated path prefix. Using a path prefix
(e.g. `p` in `/p/fr/mon_blog`) it would have been possible to route the
request to a dedicated endpoint using the same router as the backend and
with no change to the HTTP dispatching code. Sadly, the business does
not want such prefix so we have to stick with a broken design.
It is broken because prior to serving a page, website needs to setup A
LOT of stuff on the system. It needs to ensure a proper user is set on
the environment, it needs to setup the GeoIP database, it also needs
to determine the lang the user requested the page and it also needs to
save multiple attributes on the request objet itself (`is_frontend`,
`is_frontend_multilang`, `routing_iteration`, `website`, `lang`,
`rerouting` and `website_routing`). Since `base/ir.http@_match()` will
fail, everything must be set either prior to calling this method or in
`website/ir.http@_serve_fallback`.
---
The original implementation was overriding the `_dispatch` method which
was responsible to call the four `_match()`, `_authenticate()`,
`_postprocess_args` and finally `WebRequest._dispatch()`. The override
was very special, here is an attempt to explain it:
1) try to match an endpoint using the backend router, 404-errors are
ignored.
2) include the geoip stuff.
3) authenticate using the `auth` @route argument if an endpoint matched
in (1), otherwise authenticate with the public user.
4) if not endpoint matched or if a frontend endpoint matched in (1):
a) call `_add_dispatch_parameters` which sets many arguments on the
`request` object, including the lang found in the request cookies
b) try to extract a lang from the URL: abort with a redirection when
the lang is missing or wrong, remove the lang from the request
path when it is set (updating both `request.lang` and the cookie).
5) return the result of `super()._dispatch()`
Note that `_serve_fallback()` is called during `super()._dispatch()`
when the path still does not route to an endpoint. Thanks to the
`_dispatch` overrides in http_routing and website, it is garanteed that
the system is setup prior to calling `_serve_fallback`.
---
Because it is now `http.py@Request._serve_ir_http()` that is responsible
of calling the four`_match()`, `_authenticate()`, `_pre_dispatch` and
finally `_(http|json)_dispatch()` it is no more possible to override it
to take over the dispatching to perform the http_routing/website magic.
The prior implementation can not work with the new design thus is has
been refactored too.
To render a website page, there must be a user configured on the
environment (not None) and the various special attributes must be set on
the request object. The special `lang` attribute is popped from the
request path but backend endpoints must be delivered in priority.
Using the new design, it has been decided to override the `_match`
method to implement the lang-in-path logic, to override both
`_pre_dispatch` and `_serve_fallback` to call `_add_dispatch_parameters`
which have been renamed `_frontend_pre_dispatch` and to also grant the
public user in the `_serve_fallback` override.
The `_handle_error` override in website has similar needs, the function
is called upon error (4xx/5xx) in order to render a pretty
website-looking page. Because such error can occurs as early as in
`_match()` (page not found and no fallback), when nothing has been setup
yet, website is yet again responsible for setuping everything: request,
orm, frontend.
Many other small improvement are not described here. Hopefully the added
comments in the source code are enought.
