There were inconsistencies in the calls to `_render`.
* the view context could contain information that misled developers.
Indeed, the context and value of the view are not supposed to be found
in the rendering. Thus by calling `ir.qweb` with the name of the
template, we ensure that there is no unwanted information and in
addition the cache key is that of the name of the template which saves
a query.
* the context used for rendering was modified by a method on
`ir.ui.view`, except this is not information used by this model. There
is now a `_prepare_environment` method residing on `ir.qweb`. This
method allows to modify the value dictionary as well as the context in
which the rendering will be done. This preparation of the data as well
as my security check is done only once per rendering. This also saves
some queries
* Freeze options for rendering were inconsistent. It could be that
options on which rendering depends were not part of the cache key. Thus,
depending on the user who generated the generation of the rendering
function, there was or was not information in the template. For example
for automatic branding. This is no longer possible, because it is the
context that is used. The options serving as a cache key are only
recorded for information (for the profiling system for example). A
simplification of the `ir.qweb.field` models could be made.
The report rendering and call `ir.qweb` instead of `ir.ui.view`.

The field prefetching mechanism was poorly customizable. Before this,
we could only tell if a field was prefetched with other fields or not at
all. We have no way to inform the framework, like: "When I need data of
that field, prefetch these other fields, which are likely be used in the
same transaction".
From now on, the `prefetch` attribute is used as a grouping key for
prefetching fields. When a field is fetched, all the fields with the
same value for `prefetch` are taken for prefetching.
For example, consider a small set of fields that are rarely used, except
for one flow A using them. You want to prefetch those fields only in
the flow A, and you want to fetch them in a single query. With the new
feature, simply set `prefetch=A` for some string `A` on those fields,
and they will be grouped for prefetching.

Issue
-----
When website is installed, the rendering of template uses a side effect
of the ORM cache (cache shared between sudoed env vs non-sudoed env) and
the fields prefetching feature to work correctly.
The `self.visibility` in (`_handle_visibility`, website/ir_ui_view.py)
is done in sudo mode, then it will fetch all prefetchable fields and put
them in the cache (that will be read in non-sudo mode in the render of
the template). Another example of issue related to this:
https://github.com/odoo/odoo/pull/83341.
Because of this, the fields of mixin `website.seo.metadata` were forced
to be prefetchable (the default for translate is to be not prefetchable
since https://github.com/odoo/odoo/pull/82896), which causes a useless
LEFT JOIN on "ir_translation" in most of business flow.
Fix
---
Remove the `prefetch=True` on mixin fields, and add a extra read to fill
the cache in case of website rendering. It also allows to read these
fields at the same time.

_read_group instead. _read_group doesn't join automatically on the

most back-end cases

Commit [1] introduced a cron that disables outdated js and scss snippets
assets. For example, if a new version of the masonry snippet is defined
with new assets: data-vcss="001" and data-vjs="001", the previous assets
have to be disabled (000.scss and 000.js).
That cron was not handling the scss variables files at all, so when
an outdated snippet was still used in the db and the cron was run, the
000.scss file was activated, but not the 000_variables.scss and it was
crashing the assets.
Now, the XXX_variables.scss assets files are handled alongside the
XXX.scss files.
Also, the regex used in the _is_snippet_used method was only returning
the first match of a snippet in an html field. So if a view had a
snippet up to date and then an outdated snippet of the same type, the
old assets were not activated. The 'g' flag was added to return all the
occurences of the snippet in an html field.

This commit is the 13th commit of a comprehensive refactor of our HTTP
framework. See odoo/odoo#78857 for complete historic, discussions and
rationnals.
Here be dragons.
First and foremost, `http_routing` is a technical module that aim to
provide the minimum viable compatibility code between portal and
website. Its primary job is to take care of the lang inserted in the
path of URLs, e.g. `en` in `/en/my_blog`. Both when routing a request
with a lang in the URL and when rendering templates with multilang
support.
Next to `http_routing` is website, the module used by customers to
create pretty web page accessible online. Website uses a different
routing logic than the backend, webpages are **not** registered in the
routing map of werkzeug but instead delivered by website dedicated
code. It means that **all** request targeting a website page thrown at
the werkzeug router **fail** with a HTTP 404 error. The reality is that
website abuses the fallback mechanism (`_serve_fallback`) to deliver
its pages.
Using `_serve_fallback` as the standard way to deliver pages is broken
by design. It is the least crappy way to deliver content as long as
website page don't have a dedicated path prefix. Using a path prefix
(e.g. `p` in `/p/fr/mon_blog`) it would have been possible to route the
request to a dedicated endpoint using the same router as the backend and
with no change to the HTTP dispatching code. Sadly, the business does
not want such prefix so we have to stick with a broken design.
It is broken because prior to serving a page, website needs to setup A
LOT of stuff on the system. It needs to ensure a proper user is set on
the environment, it needs to setup the GeoIP database, it also needs
to determine the lang the user requested the page and it also needs to
save multiple attributes on the request objet itself (`is_frontend`,
`is_frontend_multilang`, `routing_iteration`, `website`, `lang`,
`rerouting` and `website_routing`). Since `base/ir.http@_match()` will
fail, everything must be set either prior to calling this method or in
`website/ir.http@_serve_fallback`.
---
The original implementation was overriding the `_dispatch` method which
was responsible to call the four `_match()`, `_authenticate()`,
`_postprocess_args` and finally `WebRequest._dispatch()`. The override
was very special, here is an attempt to explain it:
1) try to match an endpoint using the backend router, 404-errors are
ignored.
2) include the geoip stuff.
3) authenticate using the `auth` @route argument if an endpoint matched
in (1), otherwise authenticate with the public user.
4) if not endpoint matched or if a frontend endpoint matched in (1):
a) call `_add_dispatch_parameters` which sets many arguments on the
`request` object, including the lang found in the request cookies
b) try to extract a lang from the URL: abort with a redirection when
the lang is missing or wrong, remove the lang from the request
path when it is set (updating both `request.lang` and the cookie).
5) return the result of `super()._dispatch()`
Note that `_serve_fallback()` is called during `super()._dispatch()`
when the path still does not route to an endpoint. Thanks to the
`_dispatch` overrides in http_routing and website, it is garanteed that
the system is setup prior to calling `_serve_fallback`.
---
Because it is now `http.py@Request._serve_ir_http()` that is responsible
of calling the four`_match()`, `_authenticate()`, `_pre_dispatch` and
finally `_(http|json)_dispatch()` it is no more possible to override it
to take over the dispatching to perform the http_routing/website magic.
The prior implementation can not work with the new design thus is has
been refactored too.
To render a website page, there must be a user configured on the
environment (not None) and the various special attributes must be set on
the request object. The special `lang` attribute is popped from the
request path but backend endpoints must be delivered in priority.
Using the new design, it has been decided to override the `_match`
method to implement the lang-in-path logic, to override both
`_pre_dispatch` and `_serve_fallback` to call `_add_dispatch_parameters`
which have been renamed `_frontend_pre_dispatch` and to also grant the
public user in the `_serve_fallback` override.
The `_handle_error` override in website has similar needs, the function
is called upon error (4xx/5xx) in order to render a pretty
website-looking page. Because such error can occurs as early as in
`_match()` (page not found and no fallback), when nothing has been setup
yet, website is yet again responsible for setuping everything: request,
orm, frontend.
Many other small improvement are not described here. Hopefully the added
comments in the source code are enought.

Commit [1] introduced an automatic start of edit mode when
selecting a theme but didn't take into account wether the frontend lang
of the user was matching that of the website that is supposed to enter
in edit mode.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create an empty database and install website.
- Add an extra lang on website (e.g FR) and visit the website in that
lang.
- Go in settings an create a new website, skiper the configurator,
select a theme.
- Redirect is with enable_editor but nothing happens.
The editor isn't started if not in the source's lang.
This commit redirect the user to the default_lang of the website
so that editor can always be started. It also introduces a tour
to test out the flow.

Since [1] when fuzzy search was introduced, fuzzy search was also used
when the search term contained numbers.
This is a problem for companies where the shop search is used on

After this commit the exact search is used whenever the search term is
made of 80% of numbers or more - because it is very likely to be a

The configurator introduced at [1] uses a frontend controller to
display its content. However this results in inconsistent language
translation as the python code uses the users's language but the
localization services uses the frontend's language when on a frontend
page.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a database with the only language being french
- Install website
- In the configurator, all the pages will be in french except
"Pages and Features"
With this commit, the language for the configurator will always be
the language of the website it's configuring. A test also make sure
that this is the current behavior.

PURPOSE
Visitors are useful in terms of marketing analysis but they can bloat the
database really quickly if you have a lot of traffic on your website.
This commit aims to relieve the database by fully deleting inactive visitors.
SPECS
On an active website, you can easily reach hundreds or even thousands of
visitors per day.
While active visitors are useful for marketing purposes, inactive ones were
archived after a period of inactivity (i.e: not connected for X days in a row,
where X is configurable as a parameter and 30 by default).
But archiving visitors is not really useful either.
We don't see any specific cases where you would want to restore some visitors.
That means we are better off unlinking the visitors completely to save database
storage space.
We want to make exceptions and avoid deletion of inactive visitors in some
cases:
- When they are linked to a partner (meaning most likely linked to a
registered user)
- When they are linked to leads
- When they are registered to events
Several tests were added to ensure that leads matching these conditions are not
unlinked.
We also took this opportunity to enforce the "_link_to_visitor" rules in those
tests to make sure that:
- When visitors are linked, the leads are merged into the main visitor
- When visitors are linked, the event tickets are merged into the main visitor
- When visitors are linked, the wishlisted tracks are merged into the main
visitor
This is also preliminary work for a commit that will move the push_token of
website.visitors to a separate table.
That will in turn allow us to link the push_tokens within the
"_link_to_visitor" method and delete the linked visitor instead of archiving
it.

However, it should have been part of the website module from the start since
it's a 'global' concept that does not depend on events at all.
See #53540 for more details.
This commit aims to clean the code by moving the field to the website module,
which allows a nice cleaning of associated overridden methods as well.
Along with that, we move the website.visitor demo data from the event module to

QWeb is the primary templating engine used by Odoo. It is an XML
templating engine and used mostly to generate XML, HTML fragments and

To create new XML template, please see :doc:`QWeb Templates documentation

In **input** you have an XML template giving the corresponding input

This fonction is called and will give the XML **output**.
The ``_compile`` method is responsible to generate the function from the

Issue
-----
Via the field prefetch mechanism, when we need a value of one field
(not in cache of course), the ORM will prefetch all fields
(which has the attribute to `prefetch=True`, the default value of this
attribute is `True`) for all record ids in `_prefetch_ids`.
Then, for each translate fields (where translate is not a callable)
the ORM need to make a `LEFT JOIN` on the `ir_translation` to fetch the
translated value. For big model, it leads to a simple `SELECT` with
several `LEFT JOIN` on ir_translation but each LEFT JOIN have a cost
in the planner time (a small cost in the execution time) of PostgreSQL.
By example, for `product.template` (stock/sale/purchase installed),
there are 6 LEFT JOIN to get all translated fields (5 of this
fields are rarely used).
Proposed solution
-----------------
Deactivate the prefetch by default for all translate fields expect if
this field is the `_rec_name` of the model (which is more likely to
be used).
In the example on the `product.template`:
Without prefetching the translated fields, there is only one LEFT JOIN
(the name, which is translated but is the `_rec_name` of the model).
With the 6 translated fields to fetch, the
query takes 5 ms to plan and 2 ms to execute VS with 1 translate field,
it 1 ms to plan and 1.5 ms to execute.
Side change note
----------------
- All translate of fields of `website.seo.metadata` should be prefetch
to avoid lot of website errors (it is because, website put in cache data
in sudo before reading it without sudo)
- `description` (`mail.message.subtype`), `subject` (`mail.template`),
`body_html` (`mail.template`) should be prefetch to avoid lot of extra
query from mail module.
- `vat_label` (`res.country`) should be prefetch to avoid a extra query
for each website page.
- Increase some queryCount (when it is legit, due to `subtitle` of
`blog_post` or `description` of `event.type.ticket`, etc)

Avoid to base64 encode, then decode to process assets and images for a ~25% speed improvement.
Change image processing tool to work on images, rather than base64 encoded strings.
Performance is ~25% faster on assets & images:
/web/assets/...frontend.min.css: 13ms to 7ms, base64 enc/dec: 2 -> 0
/web/image/XML_ID: 10ms to 8ms, base64 enc/dec: 3 -> 0
/web/image/res.users/2/avatar_128: 40ms to 20ms, base64 enc/dec: 6 -> 2

Before https://github.com/odoo/odoo/commit/254d40ffcc21f56a80a1814da7f6355d44e5670b it was possible that when a user cropped an image
using the crop tool, a copy of the original image was created that
had both original_id and theme_template_id carried over, therefore
find could be multi-record. We strengthen that search by adding
original_id=False, which ensures we always fetch the record of the
original image and not also its copies. In addition, databases that
happen to have this issue of corrupted data will be fixed
during an upgrade with https://github.com/odoo/upgrade/pull/3110.

Since the generic search bar was introduced in [1] all text fields were
truncated in search results.
This caused problems for long URLs which were truncated as well, and
therefore could become invalid.
After this commit URL fields specify `'truncate': False` in their search
detail metadata, which informs the rendering to skip the text truncation
step for that field.
Also added previously missing controller-level tests of the
autocompletion.
Steps to reproduce:
- start odoo with website_forum and demo data
- go to the Help forum
- search for "configure" in the Help forum
- click on the auto-complete suggestion
- => redirected to a 404 page because the URL was shortened
To test the fix on other models, use a long enough name that causes the
problem. E.g.: "This product has such a long name its URL would have
been truncated without the fix contained in this branch".
Note that the problem did not occur on blogs because the URL does not
contain the name, but the same fix was applied for consistency.

environment. When reading the other information there is no longer any
need to make a request.

Before this commit, if a theme record (eg `theme.ir.ui.view`) was deleted,
its copy_ids would not be.
While this is perfectly normal and wanted behavior when this is done in a
website context (to not alter other websites), it shouldn't be the case when
performing a theme update through CLI/Migration (or if the user find a way to
update the module through the UI).

Some theme are enabling an header template. When doing so, they also disable
the default header template.
But this is not enough, as the user could have changed that template and it is
not the default one anymore.
Then, updating that theme (UX, CLI, Migration) will raise a traceback.
Step to reproduce:
- Create a website and install theme avantgarde
- Enter edit mode and select Magazine header template
At that point, update the theme, either:
- Through the UI, on theme switch screen, click on Update
- Through CLI, just run a `-u theme_avantgarde`
-> A traceback will be raised about an xpath error, as both the magazine header
template and the hamburger header template are active at the same time. Only
one template is supposed to be activated.
The issue also impact migration, as migrated website can't be accessed due to
the xpath error on rendering.
Theme being impacted (at least): Avantgarde, Graphene & Nano
Note that when installing one of those themes for the first time on a website,
the error won't occur as `_reset_default_config()` will be called through
`_theme_remove()`.
Note that this fix will ensure the correct template is set (and all others are
disabled), but the scss variable won't be correctly set (as it would be if that
template change was done through the right panel).
This is not that much of a problem (considering what it solves), any later
change from the user through the right panel will solve that mismatch.

Those were not accounted for, leading to fstrings passing through
unflagged.
Also update the SQL checker to be stricter but smarter:
The previous version would "fail open", unknown nodes would be allowed
through hence f-strings not being flagged when they started appearing
in arg0 position, should now fail-closed, anything that's not allowed
is forbidden.
This flags a few more cases, all of which seem acceptable upon review.
However the previous version would also only resolve arg0 (in case it
had a `NAME`, to see if that resolved to an acceptable form of
query-building). The new version performs resolution during
`_check_concatenation` and should thus allow e.g. format strings to be
separate variables (though not e.g. module-level constants, yet
anyway).
In resolution, replace the ad-hoc process by astroid's built-in
`lookup` which seems to provide the same information. Slightly more in
fact, as it yields every assignment in case of e.g. conditionals, but
making use of that would require a lot more changes in the checker so
leaving the behaviour as-is for now.
It's important to *not* use `ilookup` here, because ilookup is not
"iterable" but "inferring", and we don't want values, we want
expression ASTs for analysis.
NOTE: previous improvements as well as fixes to existing code were
only implemented in 14.0, hence this being merged in 14.0 not 13.0
despite 13.0 still being supported.

Before this commit, the "ripple effect" no longer worked because the
assets were never activated for the following reason:
- To activate the ripple effect assets via the editor options, we
activated a template that no longer exists (with
data-customize-website-views). Instead of activating the assets with the
new system of assets using records.
After this commit, a new "data-customize-website-assets" xml attribute
was created so that the assets can enable/disable in the same way as the
views. The "write" method for ir.asset has also been overridden in
website so that each website has its specific assets (via COW).

The http.addons_manifest is a map {module: manifest_dict} that is
populated upon the first http request. This map is basically a module
manifest cache with an extra `addons_path` key, the path of the module
on the file-system. This cache is eagerly populated upon the first http
request, the map is empty in non-http contextes (e.g. cron) which have
been a source of bugs (e.g. 50c8eb1).
A manifest cache is necessary because reading and parsing python files
from the file-system is not that cheap but there is no reason that cache
is located in `odoo.http`. A thin cache layer now wraps
`load_information_from_description_file()`/`load_manifest()` and is
lazily populated.
The `http.addons_manifest` have been removed. The extra `addons_path`
key is now present in the "normal" manifest. The `read_manifest()` was
hardly used so it has been deprecated. The only way to retrieve a
manifest is now `load_information_from_description_file()` which was
renamed `load_manifest()` (no cache) and `get_manifest()` (cache).
Side note about performances, the cache is necessary. Addons manifest
are read-only and reading + parsing python files from the file system is
not a cheap operation. Running the e-commerce tour
`@website_sale.test_04_admin_website_sale_tour` without cache on
`load_manifest()` requires 68,29 secs to complete on my laptop,
exceeding the default 1-minute time frame allowed in tests. Using a
cache the time is down to 36,53 secs. The performance impact is huge.

Before this commit when covers were edited from their list view (e.g.
changing their background color from the blog posts list or from the
events list), the resize class was lost.
After this commit the resize class is kept from its previously saved
value if it is not a parameter during edition.
