The C implementation of the JS minification gives speedups between 6
and 55 times faster than the regex-based Python port, depending on
how compressed the input it (which is what our default implementation
does).
This is measurable when generating compiled assets bundle from scratch,
e.g. after installing/updating modules or source code.
As an illustration, the minification of a 2MB JS bundle can be 50x
faster:
```py
import rjsmin
from odoo.addons.base.models.assetsbundle import rjsmin as rjsm
js_source = open("web.assets_common_lazy.js").read() # 2MB JS
%timeit rjsm(js_source)
# -> 339 ms ± 495 µs per loop (mean ± std. dev. of 7 runs, 1 loop each)
%timeit rjsmin.jsmin(js_source)
# -> 6.88 ms ± 213 µs per loop (mean ± std. dev. of 7 runs, 100 loops each)
```
It's also a drop-in replacement, as long as you rjsmin 1.1.0 or better
is available (to support format strings properly, a.o.).

Steps to reproduce:
- Install industry_fsm_report, website
- Create Project P, add column/stage PC.
- Edit stage, Email Template = Task: Intervention Schduled.
- Edit the template > Advanced Settings > Optional report to print and
attach = Worksheet Report (PDF). Save everything.
- Go to website, "contact us" page > Edit the form, Action = Create a
task, Project = P > Save
Issue:
When you first submit the form, it will fail, but the task will be
created and visible in project P. By instinct, the user will submit the
form again, so the task will be duplicated. The second form submit will
return a success message.
When submitting a form, we first generate a savepoint (added in
commit [1]).
Since this is the first interaction with the report system, during the
handling of the form, the assetsbundle will be generated (see keyword
'commit_assetsbundle'), which will cause a commit.
Finally, assuming no other error is raised, we try to delete the
savepoint.
However, since a commit was executed, then the savepoint will no longer
exist, which will cause an error status to be returned.
Solution:
When submitting a form, pass `commit_assetsbundle=False` to the record
creation, which prevents the commit from happening.
This solution has a downside; creating the record also sends an email
and the report attached to that email will have broken styling. This is
still an improvement to the current behaviour, which doesn't send the
first email at all.

Before 16.0 and https://github.com/odoo/odoo/pull/78857 the session
cookie duration was set to 3 months, but the server-side garbage
collection of inactive session was reaping them after 7 days of
inactivity. The cookie lifetime was essentially superseded by the
server-side GC.
After https://github.com/odoo/odoo/pull/78857 these limits were made
consistent with each other, but the lifetime value was kept at 3 months,
which is a bit too long as a default.
This commit changes the default SESSION_LIFETIME back to 7 days for both
limits.
In addition, since the server-side GC is now implemented by a
database-specific cron job, this commit introduces an optional system
parameter `sessions.max_inactivity_seconds` that can be set to override
the default server-side GC threshold, to make it shorter.
Note 1: the ICP does not modify the cookie lifetime which will remain set
to the default 7 days. This means normal browser sessions won't stay
alive for longer than 7 days of inactivity. So `sessions.max_inactivity_seconds`
can't be effectively set to a longer expiration time.
This seems like a reasonably safe default.
Note 2: the session GC happens during the execution of the autovacuum
cron job ("Base: Auto-vacuum internal data") which is scheduled once per
day by default. When setting a small `sessions.max_inactivity_seconds`
value, it may be necessary to increase the frequency of that cron job
accordingly.

In the cron updating challenges goals, we were historically filtering
in records of users that logged in since the last update. This doesn't
work because sessions can last a long time, so users are active between
cron runs but their goals are not updated and stale reports were sent.
We temporarily fixed this in v14.0 by updating all goals for internal
users, but this can lead to unnecessary computations too, and still
misses goals of active portal users.
Instead, we are here using the `bus.presence` records to track user
activity, combining it with the session lifetime to avoid indefinitely
fetching old goals that couldn't need an update.
This works for both internal and portal users.
Note: we update stale base comments in favor of exposing bus.presence
to guide developers.

Group the res_partners in self by placeholder_path value before
calling __setitem__ on each group. Because placeholders are
independent from the recordset, we can set the value
of res_partner[avatar_field] to a placeholder for a recordset
of partners. When self contains lots of partners without
image_field value, this speeds up the _compute_avatar function
noticeably. This in turn speeds up stuff like loading
the Contacts KanbanView (search_read on res_partner).
Example speedup: In a database without any image for the partners,
search_read for avatar_128 with limit=80: 609ms -> 64ms.

Since the "dirty flag" refactoring of
384fda2c2a
`IrModelFields._prepare_update` did not cope well with fields missing
from the python-side models, which can during uninstallation for
custom fields (possibly because the script loads the registry
incorrectly, not entirely clear).
Because of a custom field created by worksheet linking to it, the
removal of the `project.task` table would fail, making the
reinstallation of project fail to restore several constraints.
This case was actually handled correctly just a few lines above when
trying to resolve field dependencies, both record and field would be
checked for their presence before actually trying to use them.
Getting the model from the registry / environment has not been noticed
to break uninstallations, but might as well do that too so everything
lines up, and just in case.

Uninstallation does not cope well with `setup_models` being performed
unconditionally as those will dramatically alter registry states, and
resurrect computes which the uninstallation has disabled: rather than
try to update registry models in-place (which is rather fraught) the
uninstallation deletes the columns, tables, and `ir.*` reflection
records and only after all of that is done does it reset the registry.
This means while it does fix up the registry caches (`field_depends`
and `field_triggers`) as it goes, resetting those may cause the
recomputation of fields whose columns have been deleted, possibly
based on dependencies whose columns have also been deleted.
As such these kinds of manipulations should either be performed in
`@ondelete` methods which don't get executed during uninstallation, or
they should be gated behind an uninstallation check.
In crm the latter is necessary, as `ondelete` runs before `unlink`
actually executes, and the registry reset would run too early (and
unnecessarily).
In base, only the latter is possible as we're not in `unlink` itself,
instead `IrModelFields._prepare_update` is called *during*
uninstallation and its trailing `setup_models` causes the issue.

The assets bundle system allows to generate `<script>` elements whose
resource is meant to be lazy loaded. In that case, a "data-src" is used
instead of "src" directly as attribute. This is valid HTML code: "src"
is not required. However... this lazy loading system also automatically
added `defer="defer"` which makes the "src" attribute required, thus
failing W3C validation.
Now, we only add "data-src" and the `defer="defer"` part is added on the
client-side, once the "data-src" is switched to "src". Note that this
"defer" attribute may not be needed in this case at all, but it cannot
hurt.

Since 16.0's 0501bbd62e fields with groups are now removed from the view
instead of being set as invisible.
Scenario:
- template user has group "Access to export feature"
- create a new user while being in debug=0 mode
- save
=> the users don't have the group "Access to export feature" set,
because the corresponding field is not in the view. If the same scenario
was done in debug=1 mode, we would get the group set.
Solution: duplicate the field that are inside base.group_no_one section
and have them be invisible if someone is not in debug mode.

When generating the routing map, `Rule.add` will call
`Rule._compile_builder` twice, representing almost one third of the
routing map generation time. `_compile_builder` is actually stored
in `Rule._build` and `Rule._build_unknown` for latter use, in the
`Rule.build` method.
The `Rule.build` method is used to transform a rule, lets say
`/forum/<model("forum.forum"):forum>` in `/forum/basics-of-gardening-2`
Even if a deeper investigation could be interresting, it looks like it
is only used for `is_frontend_multilang` routes and `_enumerate_pages`,
used in the `sitemap` and `search_pages`.
The proposed solution si to make this part lazy, in order to call
_compile_builder on demand, once per rule. This will speedup the initial
routing map generation and postpone the heavy work when we need it,
only for the part we need most of the time.
On a database with all modules installed, generation of the routing map:
Before: ~600 ms
After: ~200 ms
An alternative implementation was also overriding the Rule.build method
instead of having a callable LazyCompiledBuilder, this implementation
was choosen since it is less dependant off the werkzeug implementation.

Before this commit: if you add a custom one2many field to the
'res.partner', like x_related_commercial_partner_ids, that is related to the
`commercial_partner_id` in the`res.partner` model, it won't update the
display name of a contact in case of changing its parent_id name.
Here are the steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Create a new custom field with these values:
a. Field Type = one2many
b. Model = Contact
c. Related Model = res.partner
d. Relation Field = commercial_partner_id
2. Create a new Contact that is the "Company" (e.g. "My Company")
3. Create a new Contact that is the "Individual" (e.g. "My Name"), and
put the "My Company" as its parent_id.
4. Now the display_name is "My Company, My Name" which is correct
5. Change the company name to "My new Company"
-> display_name won't change, and is "My Company, My Name"
The solution is to add the 'commercial_company_name' to the
`display_name` depends.

After this commit the url will start with /_custom/addon.bundle_name/...
This will make it easier to spot at immediately if it is a custom asset

Rationale
---------
Given the following domain:
['|',
('company_id.name', 'like', 'BE'),
('company_id.city', 'like', 'Brussels')]
The ORM would generate the following SQL query:
SELECT "res_partner"."id"
FROM "res_partner"
WHERE "res_partner"."company_id" IN (
SELECT "res_company"."id"
FROM "res_company"
WHERE "res_company"."name" like 'BE'
) OR "res_partner"."company_id" IN (
SELECT "res_company"."id"
FROM "res_company"
WHERE "res_company"."email" like 'help@odoo.com'
);
Which is sub-optiomal as the WHERE clause of the two subqueries could be
regrouped inside of a single query like so:
SELECT "res_partner"."id"
FROM "res_partner"
WHERE "res_partner"."company_id" IN (
SELECT "res_company"."id"
FROM "res_company" WHERE (
"res_company"."name" like 'BE'
OR "res_company"."email" like 'help@odoo.com'
)
);
Postgres-wise, it is faster to execute the latter query than the former
one. This commit is about optimizing the ORM so that it generates
queries where the WHERE clause of compatible subqueries are grouped
together.
Technical solution
------------------
The solution explored by this work is to replace the regular relational
field accesses (over a dotted path) by a new `any` operator that look as
follow:
(relational_field, 'any', domain)
For instance, the above `('company_id.name', 'like', 'BE')` leaf becomes
`('company_id', 'any', [('name', 'like', 'BE')]` using `any`.
Having a domain as right-hand-side allow for the combination of the
domains of same compatible relations:
[('company_id', 'any', ['|',
('name', 'like', 'BE'),
('city', 'like', 'Brussels')])
Having combined domains allows for generating better SQL queries with
minimal changes to the expression parsing algorithm, which can only
translate a single leaf at a time to SQL. With the new `any` operator,
it is still a single leaf but the right-hand-side contains the merged
domain, thus the combined SQL WHERE clause is immediately generated.

Enforce strict types for returned values for
* create
* write
* unlink
* default_get
to make those methods more consistent and reliable.
Also make sure they can be called with empty self/values,
i.e. that they follow the same behavior as the base methods
defined in the main orm Model.

Many templates use the company logo that is set by default on
database creation. As that logo is clearly a placeholder and the user
isn't necesserely prompted to update it. It's possible for a user to
inadvertently start sending emails with "your logo" placeholders
plastered all over.
This removes the default logo of the company and removes it from
templates conditionally.
The logo isn't simply replaced with a transparent PNG as the templates
set a fixed height for the logo, which would look weird.

odoo/odoo#111651 improved and optimised triggers but dropped the
in-place cleanup of field dependencies. As a consequence, during
module uninstallation if a stored computed field is removed (because
it's part of a module being uninstalled), and one of its dependencies
is subsequently altered (e.g. it's itself removed, or written to) the
second update will break as the query trying to find out which
dependent records to update will error, either because of trying to
select / filter on a missing column, or because of trying to fetch
in a missing table.
The simplest examples of this issue are computed fields with a
dependency on `ir.model`:
- In `calendar`, `calendar.event.res_model` is a related on
`res_model_id.model`, this prevents the removal of *any* `ir.model`
record if it gets uninstalled.
As a result the `calendar.attendee` and `calendar.event` tables
don't get removed (just emptied of all their non-automatic fields),
their records remain as well, and when the non-automatic fields get
re-added during installation re-instating the NOT NULL constraints
fails, breaking the uninstall/reinstall test.
- In `payment`, `payment.provider.module_state` is a related on
`module_id.state`, this breaks *during* uninstallation, as after
`module_uninstall` first calls `_module_data_uninstall` which
removes the field, then it *updates the modules being uninstalled*
(sets their state), which tries to find out which
`payment.provider`'s `module_state` is should update, which breaks
because the `module_id` column has been removed.
This second one was worked around in odoo/odoo#118900, by marking
modules as uninstalled before actually gutting them, but as it turns
out the "actual" fix is needed anyway. So revert the workaround, and
actually fix the issue.

Lot of override of read_group reimplement partially custom security
rule of `_search` method. In order to simplify these security check
and have a consistent behavior between the search and read_group method,
_read_group now use _search to create the from and where clause.

before this commit, on duplicating a contact tag
will duplicate the assigned partners also.
suppose if we have a partner A with tag B assigned,
and then we duplicate tag B and create new tag C,
the newly created tag is automatically getting
assigned to partner A.
after this commit, the copy is set to False for
partner_ids field in tag and then the partners
wont be copied on duplicating a tag

Before this, uninstalling the `payment` module (or any of its
dependencies) is broken: as payment.provider has a dependency on
ir.module.module.state, marking the modules causes a lookup of the
payment provides to update, but the table was removed by
`_module_data_uninstall`, so the lookup blows up.
This is a consequence of odoo/odoo#111651 which improved and optimised
triggers but dropped the in-place cleanup of the triggers tree.
Thus while the columns & tables get removed from the database the
in-memory structures (registry, models, fields, ..., as well as the
trigger and dependency caches) are not so the python side will happily
try to look up stuff which has been nuked if accessed at the wrong
moment (which is any moment between the start of
`_module_data_uninstall` and the creation of a new registry, really).
As `_module_data_uninstall` is nothing but a giant pile of dodgy state
anyway, making modules as uninstalled before it executes doesn't seem
like a huge deal. It may cause unnecessary extra recomputation for the
few models which depend on modules, but that doesn't seem like a major
issue, at worst it makes uninstallation a touch slower but they're not
a huge performance concern at the moment (they're more of a
correctness one).
